Has anyone here tried it? I'm worried about this whole loadout and perks business. The great thing about Halo MP in the past was that regardless of your rank, you had the same chance as anyone else on a given map to get kills. I'm curious what other people's impressions of the new changes are.

I've played it for a bit and so far all that the perks and loadouts seem to do is make is slightly easyer for you to play your playstyle. All the guns still kill the same no matter what you have equiped.

I think the change is for the better. Makes me want to hold off on black ops 2 for a bit tbh. The multiplayer is fun, balanced, and action packed.

I just wish they would bring back a ranking system that matters

Soooo there isn't too much running into groups that have ridiculous loadouts that destroy you in seconds like Call of Duty games?

If you are on your own and run into a group of 2-3 you are pretty much screwed

Isn't that true for all mp tho? I don't think individuals usually survive group encounters.

Not necessarily...in cod you could easily take out multiple enemies in close proximity when the numbers are against you...halo mp you have to deal with shield which means a minimum of 4 headshots to go for the kill, at least with standard starting weapons

Not really.. Plus maps have access to other good weapons and vehicles everyone can use.

Ranked based on skill...not accumulative

With spawn weapons getting a multikill when 2 or more enemies are fixated on you is highly unlikely, unless u toss a couple well placed grenades...

I'll have to try it tomorrow then and see how I like it. Thank you for the input good sir.

Aah, true, but I don't think that's possible given the customization now.

And it makes halos mp more casual than it does competitive imo...playing in a match against people ranked above 40 used to add a sense of excitement and challenge...not to mention when joining random matches...u would be placed I to a game based off rank...
