I wouldn't say that...we still have soldiers who practically live there. Let's be thankful.

Also, the gun argument is pointless imo.

If you want cocaine, it's illegal! Wait, I can go to numerous people right now and buy some.
People will find a way to get guns in the country. Banning them won't solve a damn thing, only make it more readily easy to obtain. Hell, the illegal gun trade in this country right now is huge; imagine how much bigger it'd be if getting guns were not in stores.

Good point.

I don't own a gun myself, in fact, I've only shot one of my friends guns. Target practice at some open farm land. It was good times just testing our accuracy, but I couldn't imagine using on something living.

I still don't know what makes me people want to shoot kids.

If anything you'll go from having some idea who owns them (via registration, etc.) to having no idea who owns them or what kinds...

Wait, you all didn't solve the gun debate after the Batman shooting?

Bane took care of Batman for us.

It would also be much harder for people who want to use them for defense to acquire them.

I just bought a gun yesterday (SA XDs) for consealed carry. This only re-affirms my decision to keep myself armed. Tragic.

It would also be harder for suburban nutjobs that perpetrate this type of thing too. Regular criminals wouldn't have a problem.

I said this same thing regarding the Portland mall shooting, and it's undeniably tougher to say it now...but I still think this more of a mental health issue than a gun control issue.

Killing K-4th graders is insanity.

Have they 100% confirmed yet that there were 2 people?

speaking as someone who was born in 1989 in CA, offhand, i can't really think of a single school i went to that didn't have a cop permanently assigned there. and i went to a good 11-13 different schools from k-12. most of them weren't in particularly bad areas, either.

Let's be a better vgf today and not argue about gun control over this. This was an elementary school. No one would've had guns there regardless of the law.

Where there's a will there's a way. Just look at that mall shooting, that guy stole the rifle from a friend, he didn't even own one.

At least the mall shooter had horrible aim. I wish I could say the same for the tragedy this morning, but unfortunately that is far from the truth... :'(

Apparently the gunman killed one of his parents before going to the school.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 14, 2012 11:15:00 AM PST
From everything released by the police there was 1 guy with 2 guns. One being a rifle.

I know i will take tons of crap for this line but its still true "Guns do not kill people, People Do" no matter the weapon its the person that chooses to pull the trigger, stab someone, throw a grenade etc. This guy was a nutjob who we will most likely hear has a history of some mental issues etc.

That's something I hadn't heard yet.

Thanks. As soon as I left the gun shop I went to the range and fired off 100 rounds. Love the XDs.

See now i am hoping not to hear he had a little sister/brother at the school. Until we get all the details its hard to understand. But we all know this will be on every channel for a few days in every time slot so we should know a lot by the end of the day and weekend

Wasn't there a shooting in a mall earlier this week? I feel sorry for the parents of the kids was were injured or killed. May the Lord welcome them into heaven.

While I'm no gun-nut, I'll getting tired of the "we need gun control" crowd whenever something like this happens. It would have been just as bad if them used a bomb to blow up the school instead. The problem is the person who choices to use the gun to hurt others, not the weapon in his hand.

Oh and also, instead of the Bloodz and Cripz walking around with glocks..they will be walking around with AK47's. Straight from the black market.
