THQ is dead already and just doesn't know it.

I bought Amazon's THQ bundle yesterday but I really don't think THQ has a bright future.

THQ is having a sale this weekend. Im sure this should help raise some money for for them... if you are a fan, id spend a few bucks on a couple games. Might help them get through these rough times.

I think publishers will probably just let the company die, then buy up IP rights, and maybe open a new studio or two staffed partially by laid off employees, and we will still get Saints Row 4.

Oh, and at least two people (who have been in the industry a while) who go out of work from this will start a Kickstarter for an old school game.

And take on THQ's $100 million debt?

THQ plummeted another 22.67% today. The company's market cap is cuurently $7.95 million meaning THQ is worth over $3 million less than when I started this thread yesterday.

THQ stock has dropped another 26% today and is currently $1.11 per share. Remember that THQ did a 10-1 reverse stock split a while back. That means if you had a share of THQ stock one year ago it is actually worth 11 cents, not $1.11.

They aren't strong, but they aren't that bad, either. I mean, a $12.5 million net loss during the last quarter is hardly a show stopper. Unless your THQ, in which case that's more money than you currently have.

Do you realize take-two is 2ksports and 2kgames. They publish and develop all the 2k basketball game and they publish bioshock games

"You're well on your way to earning the rank of Uncle. One day people will call you Uncle Wanda."

Literally the greatest thing ever.

Take-Two might be next to go down after THQ. Their financials are not strong. They basically only make money in a year where Rockstar releases a game.

the only company i would like to see buy out THQ is Take-Two

That's what you were going to do anyways.

I know, I'm going to drown myself in booze and porn....that doesn't sound too bad actually.

You should have bought more copies of Darksiders 2. Now see what you've done!

Extra Credits does a lot of shows on metrics and monetization and such. It sounds like free-to-play with microtransactions and other models like that may become more and more prevalent in the future. I don't know how true that will turn out to be, but there are options for making money in the new market.

I want more Darksiders sequels....

Modern Bear says:
I just bought Darksiders 2 today in order to help THQ out. Well the real reason was because I was in Best Buy and saw it for $10. They must have made a mistake because The Darkness 2 was supposed to be marked down to that price, not Darksiders 2, which I just realized when I got home and read that sale thread. When they rang Darksiders 2 up at the register it came up as $60 but I got it for $10 because that's what it was marked for.
