Lightning deal - Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Value Bundle

What did the lightning deal do? The page displays it as $249.96, and in my cart, it was $249.95. Was the "deal" a one cent decrease in price?

The deal was nothing. It was $249 an hour before too.

You're right, it does come with a $50 Gift Card. I only saw that when I hovered my mouse pointer over the deal.

I chatted with customer service and was told that the deal had expired when I purchased it from the waiting list offered drop down box. I asked for a supervisor, who told me that he could not confirm there ever was such an offer. I gave them the image BTG gave (thank you!) and was told that if there was such an offer that I would surely receive it and that he would forward my concern to the promotions department who would get back to me in 24-48 hours. Finally, I emailed customer service and the auto information says I will get a reply within 12 hours.

I was told that marketing department will contact me tomorrow regarding the issue. I'm sure they'll discover the mistake and send out gift cards to everyone that purchased during the lightning deal

Same thing happened to me. There was a black friday lightning deal for the 250gb holiday bundle + a $50 Amazon GC. They forwarded my inquiry as well. Given same line as SB was. The first two people flatly denied there was such an offer or I even received it despite screenshot proof and a line item on the invoice.

I have never had a problem that deserved this type of controversy before and never a problem that customer service couldn't immediately resolve. And Greg it was a $199 deal after the Gift Card allowance.

Yeah, Newegg and Best Buy were selling it for $200 but I'm happy with Amazon's deal because I was going to use that $50 on Amazon to buy Christmas gifts anyway! Plus, the free two-day shipping doesn't hurt. :)

I've been a happy customer and Prime member of Amazon for a while so I'm trying to be patient. My order arrived sans gift card so I initiated a chat with a support agent. I gave them all of my information and was told it would be forwarded to a specialist. The next day I received an email stating they needed more info but the link just took me to the same form I filled out when I initiated the chat. This time I called. The agent says that they don't see any lightning deal for the Holiday bundle at all and they are forwarding the info to a specialist who will contact me in 24 hours. Crossing fingers that I don't have to send this back because $249 is no deal at all.

I spoke with someone over chat and they said they could never find such a deal and would forward my concerns over to Marketing and Promotions people and I never heard back so I sent an email with the image BTG provided and hopefully I will hear something soon. I ordered it on Thursday, shipped on Saturday, arrived Monday. No $50 gift card or notification of credit to my account so far. Sent another email to CSD just now.

I never heard from them so I sent the email and was supposed to get a reply in 12 hours and nothing happened there. So I just called CS and spoke with a CS rep who pulled up my info. I informed her nicely that I have went through both communications channels with no reply and sent the screenshot showing where the gift card was offered and I was forwarded to the supervisor who instead gave me a 50 promotional credit to my account because I never did get a reply back. She did this while I was on the phone. She couldn't send me the gift card but I as long as I can still use my $50 dollars I am good with that. I would suggest calling if you have not received any answers. Here is the email that she sent me.
