I am definitely liking the Vita more right now. I haven't bought any games, but with Plus it's no contest for me.

Anybod else love the OP's user review? It made me giggle a bit, more so because of the title than the content. :)

I have both portables and love them.

Lately, I have been spending more time playing with my PS Vita and my 3DS has been sitting there to be played.

I got Heroes of Ruin during Black Friday and got Castlevania 3DS preordered, so I plan to put sometime on the 3DS after I am done with Liberation and Zero Escape.

That Emu Kid says:
Console wars rule #373: Zelda games are worth 50.

#374: Remastered versions of Ocarina of Time are worth 200.

#375: Metroid, Kirby, and Donkey Kong games are only worth, like, 20.

Not for nothing but he defined "quality" as a metacritic score range.

I agree with you that I look for the system that has the games I want to play, but the OP made a decent case. I think Emu has a point in that Mario is just that huge a draw for a lot of people.

Is there a rule about how portable versions Mario/Metroid/Zelda games are all "rehashed" but portable versions of GoW, LBP, Killzone, etc are new and exciting? :)

I kid.

I agree, I think my point was more about his range. I wouldn't put the range at 70+ games. I'd tighten that range to 10-15, maybe even 5. But again, I only worry about the games I can afford and find the time to play. If I can buy and beat a new game once a month, I am doing well. :)

What astounds me is the Mario spinoff games. Stuff like Mario Party and Olympics sell really well, despite being terrible games.

Some of us get multiple systems. I have four PSPs. *shrug*

I'm in the same boat. The last game I bought on 3DS is NSMB2, which was a heck of a fun time. The Vita's releases are much more interesting to me lately.

I totally agree with your statement. The biggest reason for me dumping the 3DS for the Vita is that LBP Vita, Escape Plan, Gravity Rush, Assassin's Creed: Liberation were more appealing to me than Mario Land 3DS, Paper Mario, Mario Bros 2, and yes, even Ocarina of Time (if only because it's a remastered copy of a GREAT game). Don't get me wrong, I loved OoT and Mario Land but Nintendo games just don't appeal to me the way Playstation games do.

Edit: However, a lot of complaints about the Vita are that it lacks quality games over the 3DS and I believe I demonstrated that that is not true.

Are we talking about the DS or GBA game?

I had the DS game and it was alright but got stupid hard near the end. So weird that people called it "kiddy".

The Vita has 31 games? Damn I own a Vita and only have 6 games.

Same here. The last game I bought and played before this past Black Friday was New Super Mario Bros 2 when it launched in Aug.
