"[The] Wii U has a horrible, slow CPU," explained Shishkovtsov. "We had an early look at it, we thought we could probably do it, but in terms of the impact we would make on the overall quality of the game - potentially to its detriment - we just figured it wasn't worth pursuing at this time. It's something we might return to. I really couldn't make any promises, though."

Haha....Of course this developer would say this, their PC games are some of the most resource intensive this gen.

I wonder if its the clock speed. Is it not a Quad?

Metro is developed very CPU intensive.

It ran well and looked good on 360 years ago.

It did. It is a crazy beast on PC with DX11 though, cpu usage and perf even for high end cpu's is staggering. Crysis is Metro's lil' bishnit.

I know that. And the sequel's coming to every other system, running on the same engine.

Not with DX11 it isn't. That would make the 360 and PS3 explode.

Every hardware launch is followed by lots of articles saying how much it sucks. Bad news gets more hits than good news.

Metro 2033 was an average game for PC, the code was badly optimized and the game ran like crap in DX11 mode. I give zero credibility to what these developers say.

uncledonnie3 says:
To be fair a large part of that is the game is a resource hog and seemingly not optimized very well at all.

Edit: aaaand ninja'd.

It will still look good and run well. The first game is still one of the best looking on consoles.

Maybe this guy should focus on keeping THQ afloat long enough to publish his game before he keeps talking shit.

Tessellation (DX11, very optimized) worked great with my hardware.
You don't have to enable Advanced DoF (DX11)

Guys, can't you see that this big ol Pinko is trying to get America to infight so the Ruskies can sneak in and turn our water into vodka and our favorite bars into ice palaces? C'mon!

Same. I just pinned it on weird launch week hiccups, though.
