Here is the story:

Australian man breaks gaming marathon record with 135 hours of Black Ops II
By Ben Silverman | Plugged In - Mon, Nov 19, 2012 3:11 PM EST

Okan Kaya's passion for Call of Duty: Black Ops II is one for the record books.

On Monday, the sales manager at the Sydney-based online retailer 4Cabling set a Guinness World Record for the longest video game marathon ever by playing over 122 135 hours of blockbuster first-person shooter Black Ops II.

That tops the previous record of 120 hours, 7 minutes, which was set earlier this year by a Canadian duo playing Sony's Resistance series.

It took Kaya seven days to reach the 135 hour, 50 minute mark, though he didn't actually play in one long uninterrupted session. According to Guinness rules, players are granted one ten-minute break every hour, and any unspent time is accumulated. By skipping several breaks, Kaya was able to actually catch a little sleep and stay in relatively good spirits.
Unsupervised gaming marathons have, in the past, resulted in tragedies. In July a Taiwanese man collapsed and died following a 40-hour Diablo III marathon at an internet café. Last year, an American gamer suffered a pulmonary embolism during a 20-hour Xbox session.

Official record-breaking attempts are closely monitored, however, and Kaya was accompanied at all times by a rotating crew of supporters and witnesses. He also exercised and alternated between sitting and standing positions while he played.
And make no mistake: he really played the game. By the end of his epic session, Kaya was ranked 37th on the Black Ops II leaderboards. The game itself is a record-breaker as well, earning over $500 million in its first 24 hours.

Why would you spend so much time playing such a bad game?

At least do that with Xenoblade, Skyrim, Persona, et cetera.

Guinness World Record for Olan Kayan who played 135 hours to Call of Duty: Black Ops II

Call of Duty: Black Ops II
One Australian called Olan Kayan played nothing less than 135 hours playing Call of Duty II: Black Ops to beat the Guinness World Record as the person who has been playing a console for a continuous period. He could rest 10 minutes per hour. It took 5 days to beat the record.

Call of Duty Black ops II is a FPS video game released the13th of November of this year and it's available for PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and the new Wii U. The game is in the master line defined by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and its sequel. The game has a Zombie Mode really curious and, of course, the main plot continues with surprises, spy games and, overall, fast action and amazing effects that becomes Call of Duty saga in the more successfully first person shooter in the history of videogames.

In the first 24 hours, Call of Duty II: Black Ops II sold... 50$ million!

Not bad... or simply impressive.

In the next few days, Yareah Magazine will review the game. Stay tuned! (Yes, it's a hard job but someone has to do it, lol).

EDIT: NINJA!!

"Unsupervised gaming marathons have, in the past, resulted in tragedies."

Like the time the power went out while I was trying to finish 72 hours of overtime mode in Dead Rising?

If I got a good roll going I could probably do this with Oblivion.
