Yeah, Battlefield 3 was definitely a MP game.

In reading through some of the posts I would have to agree with some and disagree with some. LA Noire, granted the game was slow paced, IMO had an excellent story. I would also have to agree with the CoD story on MW. I thought that was the best story by far of the MW series. My pick for worst story in a game would have to be...either Kane and Lynch 2, or Lost and damned.

Any JRPG that I've played in the last 10 years .. they all have the same sissy, whiny protagonist or the ice cold "smooth" guy with a backstory that's supposed to be interesting for us.

Well Downpour has a pretty good story. I like the fact that they focused it on the main character's past and completely ignored all the cult stuff (the absolute least interesting part about Silent Hill IMHO). Of course, you would need to know that to understand why the town is so messed up and why all this crazy crap was happening. But anyway, I was pleasantly surprised!

Yeah, I know, right? I was thinking about bringing up Juno and NetZero too but I think those are a little TOO recent, heh.

Oh! You play AvJ?! What Bat-Stige are you?

Can you at all respect other people's opinions? Yeah, I'm a fan of MGS myself, but come on now.

Hmmm...are we talking about the Story or the Dialog of said story...

If just Overall Story I have to go with Resonance Of Fate

If Dialog by itself counts, I will go with the Demo for DMC... made me not wanna buy the game.

Really? I absolutely LOVE the story of Resonance of Fate so far. I like the fact that the player characters are merely cogs in a greater scenario that's playing out, regardless of their actions. They've made multiple references to that being a big deal in the game, like when Vashyeron says something like "What's super important and insignificant at the same time?" I forget the exact quote.

I'm not too far in it though! I might change my mind as it continues to unfold.

been years since i played it. after 4 chapters there still wasn't a story to even be found.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 16, 2013 10:29:53 AM PST
That's all the farther I am in it though too. The story is subtle, but it's there. I found its presentation to be a really nice change of pace.

Perhaps, I just found the combat dull after a while. It was fun at first oddly enough, not sure why I started disliking the combat I think it just started taking too long per fight.

I think LA Noire might hold the honor of being the only game where the story and characters made me ragequit.
