Me and my wife were thinking about watching one or both of these movies tonight. I was wondering if they were worth $4 lol We love horror movies!

I really enjoyed Sinister. Scared me even. Possession was okay; not really scary.

Sinister is good. Insidious is one of the best, some people hate the second half but it's great. I can't wait for the second one, all the original cast is back.

Sinister was one of my favorites of last year. Definitely worth checking out.

GyozaSauce says:
Sinister was not bad, more original than Possession but has some plot holes and they rushed the ending. Possession was predictable and the TV show version based on the same story on Paranormal Witness was a lot more scary.

I had extremely high hopes for Insidious and it just didn't hold up to me. It started off pretty good and just got weird...it wasn't a bad movie though, just not great like I had expected.

Do it! It started out kinda cheesy but turned out pretty good. Kinda like how Troll Hunter was.

If you like Anthology horror films, V/H/S is pretty great (minus the middle Ti West one about the second honeymoon). It is on Netflix.

Altered is also good ( I don't know if it is still on Netflix though). Rednecks capture an alien. The plot sounds hokey, but the movie is really good. Plus I love the final scene so much.

I've seen Sinister. It was extremely effective for a scary movie. My wife and I almost walked out of the theater it was so intense. If you like scary movies, you definitely have to check it out.

Posession was hot garbage. It started out pretty good, then halfway through the wheels fell off. I saw this because Matisyahu is in it, let me say he should stick to music..

Also, Mama is just as good as Sinister.

The wife and I love Del Toro's work, but we're waiting to watch that one until after the little emu arrives. After Sinister, it was agreed that scary movies were not a good idea when you're supposed to be avoiding stress.

Ian B. says:
Ha! Yeah, thats probably a good idea. Mama is great up until the last 5 minutes or so, it really tapers off.....but it still very much Del Toro style. But everything leading up to that isi pretty damn scary.

GyozaSauce says:
I would say Sinister is more gruelsome than scary though.
