Something that you want to not only not exist, but never have existed in the first place. Whether it's a stupid feature of a game, or a game itself, something you wish never influenced the gaming industry.

For me, Farmville... for obvious reasons. I'd like to think if it never existed, everything that followed it wouldn't have come as strongly...

Microtransactions.
I could handle Farmville type games if it wasn't for the plague of microtransactions they unleashed.

Come on, how stupid would your character look with 100 band-aids all over their body?

DRM, constant online connections

Since I'm picturing Marv from Sin City now...pretty cool actually

The emphasis on the business of video games vs. content. Really, EA is the biggest offender here. Forced multiplayer on every title, forced microtransactions and DLC, cross-game promotions....it's really kind of offensive.

I think the constant online connection wouldn't be such an issue without microtransactions. If there was nothing being sold in the game there'd be less reason to keep people from rewriting their save files to give themselves the best gear.

LOL, that's exactly who I thought of too. And I think it would be pretty cool to watch your character go from a normal looking guy to the beast Marv ended up.

I would wipe out first person perspective-only options...should be a toggle option for those who have a difficult time with spatial awareness with first person games

Yeah motion control for me too, especially the Kinect (I'd love to see what first party stuff we could have seen from MS without the Kinect in the picture).

Ehhhhh, there's not a lot imo that deserve to be taken away from history. Online DRM is bad, but in some cases is needed (D3, hacking).

(finish your damn game before it ships)

or

The withholding of digital versions to coincide with retail releases.
(the game is finished let me buy and play it, I shouldn't have to wait for stone age kids to adopt new technologies)

Easily DRM and always online connections. Sadly if EA would have went the right route with SimCity it would have been a complete success but I couldn't play the game for the first 3 days of launch.

Is it better now? I would like to pick that game up before the 18th to get whatever freebie they feel like throwing me.

Localization issues, I can't stand that games that I want to play have been out in Japan for years when the US can't get them.

Jonathan Blow's ego. Can the man just make games without making himself look like an arse?
