Sounds like you're trying to get a bunch of guys all Steamed up together. Gross!

Is this promoted by Steam?

What, you don't want to get all hot and Steamy with us?

Breeze says:
It's run entirely by 3Fox, with Steam as the medium. It's more of a promotion for the public Amazon VGF Steam group than either Steam or Amazon. And even then, the point is to promote a sense of community within that community by getting them to play together.

Come on, who doesn't want to receive payment in the form of video games for playing video games?

Iso says:
Who is 3Fox? I did not know the VGF group is that big of a deal. ;)

Breeze says:
3Fox is the person who created the linked event pages on Steam and is the one paying for the prizes.

The VGF isn't that big of a deal, and therefore there's no harm in joining. It is public after all, and it was created for the purpose of allowing the people that frequent here (if you're reading this, this means you!) to play/chat together while on PC.

Oh, I been in there since the onset but rarely pay attention to much going on in there.

It just sounded so official...

Breeze says:
If it was something official, there would be a lot more legalese.

This reminds me of how a lot of the prizes for winning Guitar Hero competitions were copies of Guitar Hero. Didn't make a whole lot of sense.

Well me and my heavy are down for some TF2 action (unless I get into the Marvel Heroes beta). I am down for killing some bots on Sunday.

New deadline: December 20th. Reason: "...to allow a weekend of planning and a weekend of doing. Of course, you could just go win now."
