It's the time of year when everyone tries to do their best when it comes to holiday sales or just plain giving stuff away. Naughty Dog, the team behind the "Uncharted" series, isn't letting the holidays slip by without rewarding their players with some in game goodies.

Those gamers who currently own "Uncharted 3" are the ones that will clean up quite nicely this year. First off, players will get the "present head" hat from above for their in game character. Along with that, you can get a t-shirt of an elf looking Christophe Balestra, Naughty Dog Co-President.

There's also a new multiplayer map coming in for the game, called the "Block Mesh Lap map". The map is made up entirely of polygons, originally designed by Rochard Lemarchand, who now teaches at USC. It's exactly how you picture it, everything is made up of colored blocks and the players are their normal selves.

All of this is free for players until January 8, 2013. Those who don't get the in game gear before that date will be left out in the cold. All of it is free as well, so there's really no reason to not download all of it.

"Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception" is currently available for the Playstation 3.

Please remind us again before January 8th. Even though I don't really play this anymore I do hate missing free stuff.

So is this free, or "free"?
