The Witcher 2 has it's hooks sunk deep into me, so I may not get to the game for a while, but I'll remember the thread title, and will be sure to bump it once I take my journey to Mount Grimrock.

It seems to be a new tradition for VGFers playing these games to name their party after other VGFers...makes it funnier that way.

Where are tou in TW2?

I'm still in Chapter 1, doing as much questing as I can before going to fight the "Old Man". I just won the Fight Club (and screwed over Lorendo...I hate that turd) and investigated the old mental hospital that was being haunted by that spectre. What an amazing side quest!!

And by the way, the Hung Over side quest made me laugh very hard. These games have a very understated, vulgar sense of humor that you sometimes have to dig into the game in order to discover.

I don't remember Hungover. The mental hospital though...whoa.

And Loredo deserves it lol.

To a game that is frequently on sale for 50% off. I don't deny that The Walking Dead is amazing but you'd think the community would vote to get a game that rarely goes on sale instead of one that is 50% off every other month.

Same here. I was actually going to pick this up if it won.

Hungover is when you decide to do a night of drinking Vernon Roche's men, and you wake up naked in the middle of the forest with all your equipment missing and a new tattoo on your neck, and then have to try and piece together what happened the night before. It's absolutely hysterical once you get the full story about what happened. I won't spoil it for you in case you decide to replay it some day!

I wonder if that was an Enhanced Edition quest...I am still early in my second playthrough. That is pretty funny.

Does anyone have any preference on the community vote? Already have Bastion and MTG, and no interest in Wargame: European Escalation. Although, the final one has a humorous name. If I was a peein, I would hope that it would be escalated as well.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 23, 2012 8:44:03 AM PST
I'm going with Bastion because more people should play it, I refuse to vote for a game based on actual war, and the MTG games are boring.

Posted on Dec 23, 2012 8:48:58 AM PST
I voted for Bastion on reasoning similar to Nate's.

Also, Greg Kasavin and company are really cool. I don't know of any other dev team that would bring the ugly, bare bones prototype of their game to a convention and let fans play it, and talk about the whole design process with them. They all seemed very approachable and genuinely friendly.

K, Bastion it is.

Sidenote, I've started a playthrough of Fallout 3. I've forgotten how fun this game is.

I saw you playing that earlier. Blast from the recent past, huh?

Pretty annoyed with Steam right now. Bought Dishonored for $30 and it won't install.

It seems a ton of people are having trouble with it , Doom 3 BFG and the Bethesda Collection. Sucks.

Is this something other than normal Steam sale non-connectivity?

Got it working finally, after 45 mins.. phew!

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 23, 2012 10:58:14 AM PST
Probably just due to the steam server overload.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 23, 2012 11:04:58 AM PST
Gabe should shell out for some more servers (I'd love a Steam server farm on the East Coast).

Still nothing that exciting so far with deals. Dishonored, XCOM, BL2, etc all have been cheaper via GMG deals or BF/CM.

I only shelled out on Dishonored so far on Steam, and it was an impulse really. I'm pretty disappointed with the lack of a Far Cry 3 sale...everywhere.

GMG and /Amazon have had the best deals.

Hitman Absolution $19.99 amazon
Humble Bundle 7 $7.40
Batman AC GOTY $5.xx GMG

DOOM 3 BFG $10.xx GMG for my brother
Dead Island GOTY $5.88 for another brother off amazon

Grabbed Dark Souls(PS3) for my self and MvsC3(X360 for my nephew)) for $22 at Best Buy today. They are having a Buy 1 G1 50% on their used games.

Just swap your home server when you have issues to something else in a similar distance. That usually fixes my issues.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 23, 2012 12:22:58 PM PST
Dark Souls is 14.99 here on Amazon right now.
