Don't know if posted already so I will just post again.

Samsung has announced a price for its 85-inch 'floating' 4K Ultra HD TV that was introduced last week at CES and received our Best of CES award. According to The Verge, the company will sell a limited quantity of the new display in Korea for a price of 40 million won, roughly $37,900. As we saw with LG's 55-inch OLED display, which was priced around $10,000 in Korea and $12,000 in the U.S., Samsung's new 4K Ultra HD TV could cost even more when it finally arrives in North America. Only 77 units were available for pre-order and initial shipments are expected to begin in March. There's no word on when the company will start offering the 95-inch and 110-inch versions of the design, or, what's more, when any of the models will be available in the U.S.

What kind of framerates can we expect with these? That will determine whether I buy one or not.

It's not the TV, but it's the software. Nothing even supports this yet? 4K resolution <100" screen seems way overkill anyway.

Where do I get a 4K signal from though?

Yes, this is good. Let's get into the details to discuss whether or not this is a practical purchase.

For 37k this "floating" 4k ultra TV better float on some kind of experimental anti-grav wall-mount.

No worries people will actually pay for these sure enough. I mean remember when the first plasma t.v. came to the states for about $12,000?

floating refers to your wallet after you buy this TV.

Also your credit cards and possibly mortgage.

4k is so stupid, unless you have a 100 inch projector or own a movie theater. :)

I believe sony is selling their 4k cameras. So, as of right now that is the only place I can think of.

So it doesn't actually float above the ground? I was considering it, but if it's not a hover-TV I'll pass.
I had my checkbook ready and everything. T
That's right, checkbook. Because I live in the 80s.

This is how Sony will justify selling the PS4 for $699.99. Other 4K players are $10,000! This is the bargain of the century!
