Yeah, that whole segment was utter crap and full of plotholes.

Sounds about where I stopped to.

Didn't get that far. I gave up shortly after finishing the Murder desk.

***LA NOIRE SPOILERS***

The part where the shrink convinces the veteran with PTSD to burn down homes. I have never been more disgusted with a video game.

Yeah... painful wasnt it?

OH RIGHT! Add that 360 Star Ocean to my list. God, I hated that game.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 16, 2013 10:57:00 AM PST
With obvious Spoilers might I ask which part?

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 16, 2013 10:54:50 AM PST
I did finish it, but there was one part where I actually just turned off my 360 in disgust and sat there.

Well Kirk specifically buys CoD games at low prices just to play the campaigns.

I play a lot of shmups, so "nonexistent story" is part of my daily gaming experience.

However for the worst story ever, I'll have to bring up an old platformer. Hailing back from the Turbografx, Keith Courage in Alpha Zones has one of my favorite so-bad-it's-good stories.

"Burrowing deep within the Earth's surface, the planet of B.A.D. (Beastly Alien Dudes) seeks to take over the world. As a member of N.I.C.E. (Nations of International Citizens for Earth), Keith's mission is to defeat B.A.D. and bring peace to the world."

Clearly you haven't played Star Ocean 4 :p

By and far one of the games that had the worst VA I've ever heard in my life.

Well, why are you replying to me?

I think LA Noire might hold the honor of being the only game where the story and characters made me ragequit.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 16, 2013 10:32:55 AM PST
Perhaps, I just found the combat dull after a while. It was fun at first oddly enough, not sure why I started disliking the combat I think it just started taking too long per fight.

No. I can't respect an obvious troll posters opinion.

That's all the farther I am in it though too. The story is subtle, but it's there. I found its presentation to be a really nice change of pace.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 16, 2013 10:28:03 AM PST
been years since i played it. after 4 chapters there still wasn't a story to even be found.

Really? I absolutely LOVE the story of Resonance of Fate so far. I like the fact that the player characters are merely cogs in a greater scenario that's playing out, regardless of their actions. They've made multiple references to that being a big deal in the game, like when Vashyeron says something like "What's super important and insignificant at the same time?" I forget the exact quote.

I'm not too far in it though! I might change my mind as it continues to unfold.

Hmmm...are we talking about the Story or the Dialog of said story...

If just Overall Story I have to go with Resonance Of Fate

If Dialog by itself counts, I will go with the Demo for DMC... made me not wanna buy the game.

Can you at all respect other people's opinions? Yeah, I'm a fan of MGS myself, but come on now.

Oh! You play AvJ?! What Bat-Stige are you?

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 16, 2013 10:00:15 AM PST
Yeah, I know, right? I was thinking about bringing up Juno and NetZero too but I think those are a little TOO recent, heh.

Well Downpour has a pretty good story. I like the fact that they focused it on the main character's past and completely ignored all the cult stuff (the absolute least interesting part about Silent Hill IMHO). Of course, you would need to know that to understand why the town is so messed up and why all this crazy crap was happening. But anyway, I was pleasantly surprised!
