In the title screen you'll see where it says extras. Click it and the press X if you have the 360 version. You'll have to register with Shift but you get a key for doing that. Hurry up so you can use the codes, buddy.
You can use them to open a gold chest in Sanctuary. I would use them once you've leveled up a bunch because the chest scales with your character.

In the town of Sanctuary, there is a chest that is locked. If you can open it(with these keys), it can drop a good weapon. The keys are one time use, so the more you have, the more frequently you can open the chest. They have been pretty good as far as doing these giveaways, so I wouldn't worry too much at this point.

Can someone explain to me these key codes? I have boarderlands 2 as a christmas present, should I be tearing it open and enterng these codes or does it not even matter unless I am playing actively?

It's funny that I had to quit my game of Blands 2 to enter the codes. It would be nice if it was in the menu that was accessible in-game. Oh well. I finally started my Gaige character and I've made it further than I previously had. Mind you, that's still not saying too much, but I'm starting to get a handle and like the way that ammo is sooo much cheaper to buy than what I remember in the previous game. Only mod that I've seen so far was just a cosmetic one, but I'm sure that I'll find others.

Definitely still doable. My fiance & I exploit the hell out of it when playing together. He figured out that you could also do it w/the $ in BL2. I haven't had to worry about money since very, very early on in the game. I don't miss the grinding to sell items for money at all.

Very. It was doable in the first one too. Randy Pitchford was asked about whether the glitch was going to be eliminated in Blands2 & whether they knew about it when they released the game. He was cagey about answering, but pretty much said they did know about it & were ok with it & didn't want to patch it & take away people's fun.

You can do it w/the Runner/Bandit Technical skins & character skins/headpieces too. Money, guns, any item that takes up space in your inventory, plus money. The money one wasn't doable in the 1st one.

Nice. I know you could do that in the first one but I messed up doing it in BL2 and didn't know if it's still possible.

You don't have to part with them, Donkey. Just dupe them for people. It's very easy to do. You can do it with items & money. Just join someone's game, give them the item(s) &/or cash, be sure neither they nor you trigger an autosave, then hit the big center button on the controller & quit out to the dashboard without saving by pressing Y.

They get the gun & you get to keep yours. It's a very easily exploitable glitch. My fiance & I use it all the time. That way we never fight over the guns & no one is butthurt that the other ninja-looted their bling bling (to quote the game.) He keeps a dummy character w/all 9's for the cash so we never run out.

I'm a level 44 and last night I used about six keys and now I'm crushing anything in front of me. I felt like I had hit a roadblock before used them. I'll be on the 360 later if anyone needs a gun or two. I have a few I'm willing to part with or trade if you have something you're willing to give up.

Had to be at work 11amEST, get off at 3pmEST. The scheduled times are against me, I swear. Every dang Saturday that they give these things away is during this time period. It's a conspiracy, I tell ya.
