Also pretty much expected not just for next gen but for current gen consoles as well,if you look at the end it says for PS3/PS4/Xbox 360/WiiU/PC.

I'm disturbed by how fast this is being released. Guess that explains my dissatisfaction with 3.

I actually didn't find AC3 to be that bad though I wasn't expected too much from it in the first place but I was kind of hoping that they would start the next chapter off either with a western cowboy frontier assassin or in feudal Japan.

I too enjoyed AC3 though I wanted more answers so the ending was a bit of a letdown.

It also annoys me how they have all this hidden stuff and clues in AC1 pointing a Japanese island that the ocean took back but the. AC2 comes out and it's set in Italy. Ubisoft is like, yeah all that hard to understand crap you discovered? We were just kidding.

AC3 was good but felt unfinished. They struck gold when it came to the naval battles though so it would have been very unwise of them to immediately go to the desert. Feudal Japan seems the most likely, and I sincerely hope they go with a woman this time.

It looks ok but i'm worried that the quality of these AC games is gonna get less and less now.

I am not too interested in the combat at this point of time because if anyone didn't know any better it looks almost similar to Assassin's Creed III so far except for the swords. I want to know what exactly will be the format of this game and how we will be able to play it. What will be the mission structure and what is the present day situation? And which period is this set in?

supposedly Caribbean 1715. there's a topic with the game map in it.

Posted on Mar 3, 2013 9:26:47 AM PST
if it's 1715 it's set right in the period known as the golden age of piracy 1650-1730, and especially if it's 1715 that's a special year because that's a year after the war of the spanish succession ended

Prankster says:
Ok that sounds cool. The Caribbean could mean lots of islands and a tropical setting when not in water. Looking forward to their reveal tomorrow.

That being said, I still have Revelations and Assassin's Creed III waiting to be played :P

I think AC4 coming out a year after AC3 is fine, considering that AC4 comes after a generation jump and they've probably been making a game on PS4 and NeXtbox devkits for a while (this is the sort of game Sony and MS want available at launch) but if AC5 comes out in 2014? No thanks.

I guess I am excited about this a little, because having a good pirate game will be nice.
I definitely won't be going into it expecting an Assassin's Creed game (or even a game about assassinating people) and I definitely won't be getting it at anything close to full-price, after my incredible disappointment with AC3. But I am interested in seeing how they expand on the naval battles.

On IGN they said that Edward is Haytham's father, and Connor's grandfather.

I guess it depends on what the game ends up being. If it's like Brotherhood and Revelations, then it doesn't bother me at all. If it's supposed to be the true 4 in the series, I'm a little confused how they're getting it out so fast. III took three full years to make.

No I realize that, it just seems like it'll be more in the Brotherhood or Revelations vein, which is why naming it IV was curious.
