Haha. I started to post this article a couple of weeks ago just for you, but this is a good a place as any.

""And then you can look at Power Stone," says Papy, "as far as that old school melee feel to it." Yes. That's the one. Playing God of War: Ascension's renamed "Favor of the Gods" mode, and running around with up to eight other players flipping switches, executing combos, and earning favor points does feel a whole lot like the Dreamcast classic. In a strange way, to be honest. But a good one nevertheless."

As much as I'm completely sick of this series, that does sound like fun. I shall rent it!

Isn't there also going to be a beta for Plus members sometime this winter?

@ Billzer No, I actually won a few keys from various contests. The demo on the Total Recall blu is the Single Player demo, not the multiplayer beta.

@ Soulshine: MP Beta for PS+ starts January 8th

I don't think you really missed out on anything.

J. Pardee says:
Well I have played the MP already and I can confirm from my own experience that it was fun. It would be nice to see what is in the beta though since it has more features than what I have already played.

I can let you know. I have the Saga and have recently played through 1 and 2 back-to-back. I'm currently playing through 3 and just defeated Hades last night. I'm still enjoying it so far.

Also, I already played Chains of Olympus back when it came out on PSP and I went through it completing all of the difficulty modes back-to-back.

That must have been a fun half day.

Yeah, it was like playing MGS4 without the cutscenes.

Aw, someone getting angry? Need an ice cream, little guy?

Not sure why someone would get upset because someone else called a crazy short game crazy short.

No, but I would like an ice cream.

edit: lol, upset? I must be upset because I ribbed you with an MGS joke? It was a JOKE; don't dish it out if you can't take it, son.

Chains of Olympus is pretty short, but IMO it doesn't need to be longer. Ghost of Sparta is closer to GoW 1 in length.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 18, 2012 11:11:49 AM PST
MrFoxhound says:
Ghost of Sparta is meaty, but Chains is only about 2 1/2 hours long. Longer if you play on a harder difficulty.

GarionOrb says:
I played Chains on easy and it was significantly longer than 2.5 hours. I'd guess it's about twice that...maybe 5-6 hours.

MrFoxhound says:
No, that's not even close to what it was. This game doesn't touch anywhere near 5 hours unless you are going around and inspecting every little part of every single environment or you are just walking everywhere. 2 1/2 may be on the joke side of an estimate, but it definitely doesn't touch 4 hours in length.

Must be a very hyperbolic joke.

The average gamer beat the game in 5.5 hours.

Those are some bad gamers. I dropped this game in well under 4 hours. On my first play through no less. It's not like I was even attempting a speed run or anything like that. It was just my very first play.
