I don't think I like Assassin's Creed anymore.

:(

Don't say that! I just bought the game. And I know how big a Creed fan you were.

The best thing about optional content is that it's optional.

Sorry you were disappointed.

Farcry 3 never felt like a chore to me, but then again neither did Assassin's Creed 3.

I thought your take on the end was interesting. I didn't find it WTF at all, rather boring and anticlimactic really...

I honestly gave up midway through the first game. I bought it used, played some, found it repetitive like other players were saying and I returned it. I was oddly more interested in the Desmond parts than the actual assasin parts, and it seems most people hated the desmond parts. That whole chronicle or whatever bundle that is coming with all the games in it looks tempting, but it's kind of expensive.

Same here im a huge AC fan and made it a point to plat each one besides the mp portion of brotherhood. This game on the other hand is either too massive or just too boring that doing everything doesn't feel fun. And for crying out loud what is with the animus hacks those were annoying and apparently unlocking and using them disables trophies. I still plan to go back and clean everything in AC3 but I just gotta get the bad taste out of my mouth first.

I liked the Homestead missions because I liked the characters, and wanted to see the homestead grow. I didn't need any other motivation.

Yeah, there wasn't nearly enough closure there. That was my only main complaint with the game.

Ditto. I was hoping their stories would tie in with the main storyline somehow. Like Lee attacks the homestead near the end and you finally go after him once and for all...something like that. Would've been cool and vengeful for Connor.

AC3 sucked. And this is coming from a big fan of the series.

Aw, that's a shame. I'm not a huge fan of the series, but Assassin's Creed 3 was, to me, easily the best of the ones I've played. Really enjoyed my time with it. Pretty much any of the flaws I saw in it were ones that have been pretty well established throughout the series.

I didn't like the Assassin Recruits much either, they were done much better in AssRev imo.

With the exception of the less then stellar ending I thought the game was actually pretty good. I do wonder if they go on with the series how that's going to work, you know will it be like the previous games or will the character player do the game missions strictly in present time?

"And the guards... oh my gawd, the freaking guards... Sometimes they'll just randomly decide to attack me for absolutely no reason, even when I'm 'incognito'. Or if one or two see me and I kill them, suddenly 20 guys appear and start chasing me. I mean wtf? It's not like they had walkie talkies or anything! And getting away from a group of guards is much more difficult than in previous games. They always catch up and see me RIGHT BEFORE I'm about to jump into a hiding place. I'd often resort to saying 'screw it' and just kill them all out of pure frustration."

See, this is exactly my reaction to the guards in the original, which I've been slowly making my way through.

I agree, I was pumped for this game, but it really did not match Ac2 or ACB. I did everything in Ac2, Brotherhood, and revelations, but i like you i have no desire to do the rest of the side missions. They're just kinda eh. I completely agree with the Charles Lee chase too!!! i threw my controller across the room (luckily it hit the couch). I think Conner was a bit of a crybaby.

edit: Ending was pretty lame and really didn't fit in the story. These Beings have been helping us this whole time, but really one bitch was just settin us up? wtf

Overall, as much as i loved the series this game did make the series as a whole take a step back.
