that doesn't sound fair. If I was a fan of guns, my chin would be bit (so to speak) not unlike a camaro.

The hyperbole from gun nuts is amusing to say the least. It'll never happen, it would never make it past Bush Jr's Supreme Court or the Senate. For all the pandering the GOP does to gain the votes of Republicans, it's amazing when Republicans can't recognize the SAME pandering from the Democrates. Obama saying he'll reintroduce the assault weapon ban is on the same level as Romney saying he'd over turn Row V Wade. No you won't, and no you can't. Now, people, please stop buying into this gross hyperbole.

Sorry. I do think that worrying about gun rights because of Obama is silly though.

People do realize Obama can't actually sign anything into law, right? Congress passes laws, Obama just enforces them. The house is republican controlled, guns aren't going to be out lawed.

I personally don't own a gun and never will, but I believe people have the right to hand guns, hunting rifles, etc. I am not a huge fan of people buying assault rifles that are clearly intended for only one thing, killing many people in a short period of time.

I agree. I just like to post articles and discuss. And the discussion went from gun rights to call of duty to assault rifles to why everyone should take a firearms class. :D

Hey, don't use logic and bring up what a president can and cannot actually do, just go buy all the guns because they are all going away forever and ever.

i have the endorsement on my license, thank you very much.

But seriously, everyone should have to take a firearm safety class to own a gun. We do it for cars we should also do it for weapons.

Good point, I forgot as President he gets all the blame, like "Obamacare" that was passed in the house and senate..... Funny thing he gets blame for the deficit, which is largely the fault of congress, not him.

President is the most overrated position in the government. The President gets far too much blame and far too much credit.

I tried to use it as an excuse for my wife to let me buy a .45, but noooooooooooo.

He's gonna take my guns away, turn America into a Socialist utopia with Shariah Law, and then Jesus is gonna come back!

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 8, 2012 8:54:59 AM PST
I agree 110%. I think everyone (even people who will never own one) should take a firearm safety course.

I've heard of people shooting themselves with a gun they found in their grandparents basement, so it would help to educate people. There was a local guy who owned a gun and never took a course, killed himself when he was looking down the barrel trying to fix a jam. What an idjut.

As an avid fisherman, I think everybody who applies for a fishign license should have to pass a regulation test for slot limits. Off topic a bit, but I caught some sheepshead the other day, it was tasty.

"far too much credit."

At least he shot and killed Osama... right?

What were you thinking about getting? I personally want a 40 because the ammo is much cheaper!

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 8, 2012 8:58:07 AM PST
Gawd, Obama is a badass.

I envy you. I haven't had fresh fish in so long.

At my last job there was a guy who went icefishing every winter and would bring in fresh smoked fish. It was delicious!

It'd be nice to have everyone take a firearm safety course but I see problems implementing that as it be a massive undertaking. Also it could be viewed as government overstepping it's bounds into the lives of people who don't own guns. You could extend the gun law logic to requiring everyone to get their drivers license because anyone might one day find themselves behind a wheel.

Full size XDM .45 is what I really want.

Might need to go beyond flowers for that. I'd say buy her a rabbit.

Might as well go 9mm if you want cheaper. I have a 9mm and .45. I shoot the 9mm a lot more since its cheaper.

Yep, hence the reason it won't happen. I encourage my friends and family to take them though. They're just tools, but like any tool, it can be used incorrectly if you don't know how it works.

My dog would it eat. :D
