Harmicky says:
So my wife called me on her way to work last night and told me her Corolla broke down. I went to check it out and discovered that her engine had clearly thrown a rod (those of you who know, know that that is bad). So we called a tow truck to take the car to the dealership. On the way there, while we were stopped at a light in my Ram 1500, a minivan ran into the back of us going (according to Highway Patrol investigations) about 45mph. My wife had a head injury, so I was able to drive her to the emergency room (there's a testament to the value of driving a large vehicle). After 8 hours in the ER, it's determined that my wife has some minor injuries, but is fine.

I'll post pics later. Thought my fellow VGFers might be interested in my little adventure.

Cool story bro?

Sorry to hear about that. Minor injuries aside, I'm glad to hear you are both okay.

Did the other driver stop or just keep going?

The most important thing is that everyone is ok. We can all be thankful for that.

When the driver saw Ram on the back of your vehicle, I don't think it was a suggestion.

But in all seriousness glad you're Ok.

The other driver's vehicle was totaled. Pieces of it were all over the street. My tailpipe drove a hole through his radiator and cracked into his engine block.

Jesus, glad everyone is okay. This makes my house being flooded and living at my in-laws seem really trivial. The weekend will be better.

Wow, that actually sounds pretty terrible too. Sorry man.

FOGE says:
Glad youre both ok. Im a firm believer in bigger, safer vehicles. Definitely came in clutch for you last night. Thats rough having two damaged vehicles at the same time. Does your insurance cover rentals?

FOGE says:
Ha, I can see that. I was expecting this to be a Marv thread.

For those concerned, Foge's night last night: Watched HIMYM while eating popcorn chicken, 2 hours of Forza, 2 hours of Black Ops 2.

Unfortunate series of events, bro! Good to hear you both avoided any major injuries. I'll try to send some good luck your way.

McAwesomeo says:
I can guess why. Late one night my brother had his parked car hit by a guy who didn't have insurance. He was really, really drunk. For reference this is in a two lane (each way) street. The guy was turning a corner and crossed over into the incoming lane and into the far lane where my brother's car was parked. He hit it so hard he pushed it back over twenty feet into a light pole. After a while the guy declared bankruptcy so my brother couldn't go after him. If my brother had lawyered up right away he might not have gotten away with it.

Him says:
You definitely need to tell their insurance company you mean business (and point your finger when you say it because that makes it more dramatic).
