So long as we don't have a case RROD 2.0, I'm game (no pun intended).

We will have to see, but the likelyhood of me skipping all the new consoles may be pretty high.

Not all the classics get HD revisions. It's usually only the first party games.

I know. Oh, well. That's why HD reboots are for.

You missed some quality games in the generation skip.

The Xbox was my first console since th Sega Genesis (which I failed to play that much) I saw it on a friends house and impressed me enough to get it right away. It was after that I became aware of th PS2.

All consoles should be in line with all other A/V gear. They should be matte black and not too flashy. Avoid bright lights on the console as it's distracting in a dark room.

What I'm getting at, Flores, is that you're trying to justify skipping the 720 with reasons suggesting it's Microsoft's fault. You don't need a reason, everyone knows it's because Sony isn't involved in it.

That PS4 lineup is AMAZING! I can't wait for. . .

The 2 new consoles still have so much information that isn't clear. So far I am for the PS4 mainly because of it's amazing exclusive lineup, blu ray, and hopefully it's backwards compatible.

Bobbum Man says:
I'd rather keep the old design and have them focus on the console not crapping out after a year with RROD.

Modern Bear says:
Why did you skip the PS2? Weren't there more games made for the PS2 than any other console? There must have been some stuff you were interested in.

"if Microsoft's current Kinect focus remains the same"

These are the keywords, IF that happens. For Flores it will: Does the 720 exist? Yes. Skip.

I.Flores says:
>>Everyone knew you would skip the 720<<

I know, right? I mean, quite a few "neutral" VGFers are skipping the 720 if Microsoft's current Kinect focus remains the same next gen, so why not me?

Ed Jones says:
Microsoft owns Rare. That's a bunch of iPs that people liked. The potential is there, so I hope your theory isn't in line with their thinking.

Him says:
Everyone knew you would skip the 720, so that's not even worth your time to post. And skipping the PS2 is moronic.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 19, 2012 11:56:11 AM PST
I.Flores says:
And I skipped the PS2 too.

Good 'ol Flores says:

"If the last 2 years are any indication, I'm skipping the 720 alltogether."

You skipped the 360 altogether, what's your point?

DVvM says:
Where are these IPs that Microsoft could make money from via the hardcore route other than Gears, Forza, and Halo?

New hardcore IPs regularly don't make money, sequels to hardcore IPs that aren't those big tentpole games regularly don't make money. I mean, Amalur lost money, Darksiders 2 lost money, Resistance 3 lost money, Prototype 2 lost money, Brütal Legend lost money, Max Payne 3 lost money, etc.

Posted on Nov 19, 2012 11:45:41 AM PST
Ed Jones says:
So your argument is MS didn't want to make money from potential IPs via the hardcore route, so they made a Kinect as a distraction to take money from kiddies. They would use this money to hangout and ride the wave into late 2013 with the next Xbox. Okay then.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 19, 2012 11:43:46 AM PST
I.Flores says:
>>What makes you think that they're going to focus on the Kinect.2 to the exclusion of other types of games?<<

If the last 2 years are any indication, I'm skipping the 720 alltogether.
