Nintendo, you have a lot of haters out there but figures don't lie. You'll always succeed at making good games. I love you Nintendo.

wow, pretty strong sales .... we own all 3 listed, & I imagine MK7 is doing quite well too. & they're games we won't sell .. we completed NSMB Wii a year ago, but enjoy playing levels again.

Hey Saskamazon. MK7 has sold 4.54 million copies. Nintendo shines when it comes to making great games. I would never get rid of any of my first party Nintendo games. NSMB is a game that always deserves a revisit every now and then.

Although Nintendo is suffering from a loss from 2011, there's no doubt in my mind that they'll recover(especially with that 2D Mario on 3DS). Nintendo will always be my favorite gaming company. Their games are still on the top of the mountain in terms of quality and sales.

You made me think this'd be Keller raving at us all for being idiotic Nintendo-hatters. I'm almost disappointed.

Sounds like all first party exclusives.

Nintendo must have missed the expert analysis of the VGF that said they were doomed.

They everything else...

Nintendo has always treated their top franchises with a level of respect that is unmatched....Whe you look at the platforming Mario franchise, Mario Kart, and Zelda...they always come out excellent.

I remember when Him told me I was stupid for suggesting Skyward may have a chance to out sell Gears 3 and Uncharted 3. Perhaps it hasn't sold more, I don't know the figures for Gears 3 or Uncharted 3, the point is Skyward did very well. Nintendo continues to perform well. I can't wait to get my Wii-U, day 1 pickup for me. Nintendo has me by the short hairs. Their consoles are always under powered and feature the least amount of games, but I simply love their games too much to pass up buying into their hardware. Great business model for Nintendo, they remind me of Disney.

Voice of god says:
You'd probably have a better case against the Nintendo haters if your list wasn't one game -- a first first-party exclusive -- per platform over the course of a year. And one six-year-old game for yet another platform.

I also encourage Nintendo to keep up the good work. But God do they need to do more of it.

Are those global sales or just NA? Because if they are global, then the first two seem a little light.

If you love Nintendo so much, why don't you marry it?

Wait what? 3.5 million and 5 million global sales are light? Since when is selling over 3 million considered light? LOL.

Who in the world is a Nintendo 'hater'? I don't understand. Is it just fashionable or something? I always liked Nintendo. Overall my taste in games changed through the years but I still enjoy the Zelda and Mario franchises and maybe have more overall 'fun' with Nintendo titles. The console that is, never got into the gameboys.

For 90,000,000 Wii's 3.5 million copies of Zelda seems light.

CoD of course, like they do IRL now.

Now I have nothing against Nintendo, but I find it humorous when their fans pull out the sales figures to justify a games quality (all fanboys do it, but the Nintendo gang seem to be the worst). Going by that logic, the Twilight series are some of the finest movies ever made (they're not).

IMO, this game is a lot better than 2 outta the 3 you listed, Jawwaad (I haven't played Skyward Sword yet), and according to VGChartz, it's only sold 40,000 copies: Monster Tale

Wow, amazing a new standard has been proposed. Wii software that sells 3 million is light and not impressive. I suppose haters have to find some kind of crazy logic to make them feel better at night.

Van, haters are always talking about how Nintendo should go third party. I think Nintendo fans throw out sales figures to prove a point, love or hate Nintendo, they aren't going anywhere. Also let us be honest, if the ps3 were selling the best Sonymites would throw around just as many sales figures. Same is true with the 360. Sales figures aren't populare because Nintendo won.

So, Monster Tale, is obviously terrible. Sales don't lie.

I guess that makes Skyrim 3 times the game that Skyward Sword is, if we're speaking specifically of sales in terms of game quality. I mean after all, only 4% of Wii owners bought Skyward Sword, that means it must be a terrible game.

I was under the impression that parents actually monitored what their kids did or played....damn my optimism....

Sure and Wii Play is 10 times better than Skyrim.
