"I like the use of the touch screen in menus. Or in ac3 lib - zooming in and out of maps. It's now a very natural move after years of smartphone use. That's smart touchscreen implementation. The other stuff, not so much."

This is one of the reasons I hate smart phones. They changes things I like to use for (In my opinion of course) the worse.

I will never get a smartphone as long as i have the choice not to.

I do agree though that the Library needs to get a nice boost, but that isn't really sony's doing. They only have 1 or 2 major 1st party games, one was already released that being Little Big Planet Vita (good game btw) and the other... ok I can't actually think of another apart from the Battle All-stars thing coming out.

You buy nintendo systems for the First party games, and you buy everything else for the third party games.

I still haven't beat Mortal Kombat and LBP on Vita. It definitely needs more support to boost sales, but there's still a lot of launch games I haven't gotten around to playing yet.

That choice is slowly but surely getting very threatened. Wireless providers only have like 5 normal phones to sell these days.

I just want Legend of Heroes, Ys and Tales. For now at least.

And DJ Max Technika Tune!!!!

Why is everyone picking on the Vita? I think Vita is a pretty cool guy, eh only has dual analogs and doesn't afraid of anything.

I know.. it's getting harder to keep my old phone style. Ya know... the one with buttons.

I'll keep using this phone until the day it dies and it's battery can't hold a charge or it breaks. And i will do my damndest to find a replacement for it without a touch screen.

Just don't get Plants vs. Zombies on your touchscreen phone, total productivity killer.

I have to wonder what someone wandering into the VGF for the first time thinks of us.

If it has no games what have I been playing on it? Lies?

It is so sweet on a touchscreen though, but yeah, avoid at all costs!

Ignore it all you want but your still missing the iphone/ ipad argument. For $350(Vita/memory card/1 game) your now in the ipad mini price point. Its NOT apples to apples but will def eat into sales. Need a low price point for a dedicated handheld or the Vita sales are going to stay flat. With the cost to delelop games plus the state of the industry where cash is tight dropping millions on a game for a system with an install base of maybe 2 million after a year isn't going to gather a lot of support. I would be investing in 10 Wii U games before any Vita games

I would buy 5 vitas before ever getting an ipad/mini/android/tablet/phone/thing.

hell I'll buy 10 Vitas.

EDIT: Sony just announced the Free games you get for the vita with PS+:

Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Gravity Rush
Wipeout 2048
Jet Set Radio
Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions (the PSP title)

Lucanus says:
He is going off base prices, no bundles or sales. To his point, as an iPad owner, the likely hood of me getting a portable is low. Unlike last generation when I got a PSP. Sony really should make those bundles permanent. $250 with game and memory is a good deal.

Just so you know, I was challenged to make a statement in this thread next month. Expect at least one more bump around that time.
