Now that is a reasonable complaint.

Heh, and in this instance, you would be better off if they put the DLC on the disc. Haha, that's rich.

Actually, the problem with me is the 2.1 gigabytes it takes to download. I don't have anymore room left to download it. First world problems!

I was fine with it because the story felt completely resolved at the end. That is, unless you worked for the bonus ending, at which point it just felt like a tease for what amounts to an epilogue. So I felt closure with the story, and then they gave me a bit of incentive to play some more if I felt so inclined.

Yeah, I wasn't happy about that either. Like you said, it's Capcom being Capcom.

I kept thinking about how it was kinda like DBZ in a way.

I just finished Asura's Wrath too. I was a little ticked about having to pay for the Final Act as DLC, but that's probably Capcom sticking it to the people who like their games again. I don't think there's any game like that, but if the creators of Bayonetta, God of War and DBZ made a game together, it would be that.

A Lost reference, hahaha. :/

"I played the Lost episodes where you fight Akuma and Ryu."

I...have trouble imagining this happening on an island full of polar bears.

I played the Lost episodes where you fight Akuma and Ryu. I have yet to give the other stuff a try.

Heh, it's pretty unique. I don't know if there are many other games quite like Asura's Wrath, honestly. Just play the DLC!

I played Bayonetta a while back ago and couldn't get into it. I'm going to have to give it another shot.

Bayonetta.

Earth Defense Force 2017 andEarth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon are both extremely over the top and have you doing ridiculous amounts of destruction and killing.

No one has mentioned Ninja Blade? It's an action game like it with tons of quick-time events.

Hey says:
I really enjoyed the combat, though I could see how others might not. It did feel a bit random and chaotic in some spots.

I loved the "weird", and I LOVED the trippy visuals. The combat and the plot were horrible, IMO. Nothing wrong, content-wise, just poorly executed.

El Shaddai has everything that you could need. It goes from God talking on a cellphone to a Michael Jackson wannabe.

Hey says:
Huh, I can't imagine that reaction to El Shaddai. I think I always just enjoy "weird" more than I should though.

I was SO excited for El Shaddai, and the game was completely nonsensical (in a bad way) and very...dry.

Stylistically, Bayonetta should be right up your alley. Some of those boss fights...especially the end boss...are downright insanity!

I seriously can't wait for Bayonetta 2.

Yeah, I think that's what I liked about it. I had to laugh a couple times just because of the weirdness.

I would definitely recommend picking up El Shaddai. The game plays like a more simplified version of God of War. The story is pretty confusing but the art direction and music in the game was fantastic.

I liked Guitar Hero for a little while.

I'm looking more for something along the story line and art style of Asura's Wrath.

Hey says:
It's pretty cool. It's worth playing just to look at it. It's very very pretty.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 19, 2012 5:56:06 PM PST
Yeah, it's different. I'm thinking more of the actual style of the game more then the gameplay.

@ FrumpleOrz

I had thought about picking up El Shaddai a while ago. Can't go wrong with that price.

I don't think there's any game like Asura's Wrath. From what I understand, there's very little gameplay and more QTE's. I wouldn't put Bayonetta or DmC in the same league...but Bayonetta is definitely worth getting.
