My MP3 player broke whilst running and now I dare say I need a new one. Fancy a specific, non-Apple brand, do you?

You're welcome.

Don't laugh, I've had my Zune for years, and its a great MP3 player. And the Zune software is MUCH better than iTunes.

I use this Sansa Clip+ as well. It works very nicely if you need an mp3 player that just plays music. MicroSD slot as well for nice expansion.

Disagreed, it's a buggy mess. My iPhone is crazy simple to use when it comes to music, my iTunes is crazy easy to access and use. The only thing I dislike about iTunes is it wants to update every 6 minutes.

If you have an Android phone you could always upload your music to Google's cloud since they offer free space for up to 20,000 songs. I've been using it for 3-4 months and it's been great so far.

As for regular MP3 players I can't be of that much help though. =/

Agreed. My 30gb launch Zune is still working fine. They were just repackaged Toshiba Gigabeats (also amazing) with wireless and a new UI.

Google play is great. I have it on my Nexus 7. I also have Itunes match on my phone, but it cost $25/year. Googles same thing is free. I just have google load from my Itunes library, so I have duplicate on the Iphone and the Nexus.

I like the sony walkmans... they are not as water resilient as ipods though, so don't even think ofgrabbing one with a wet hand. Still, my next one with be a sony walkman, saving up my bing amazon credit as we speak.

Far far far better sound than the ipod touch, can range anywhere from $80 to $180. Nice, small, easy to transfer with windows media center, none of that "syncing" crap or constant firmware updates.

I also like my Zune, but I'm pretty sure they were discontinued or something.

I've always had great luck with the Sandisk Sansa line. With good quality headphones the music playback sounds amazing and moa
st of them can play lossless flac files.

The interface was simple, you actually have buttons instead of that stupid dial, and the software was so much better than the mess that is iTunes. Mine bricked somehow, good old M$ hardware. I wanted to replace it, but since it was discontinued they were insanely expensive. I've gotten used to the iPod, but I wish my Zune worked.

I use my iPhone, so an iPod touch would be my suggestion, but I understand that being angry at stuff for no reason is kind of your thing, so maybe that SanDisk one?

I love physical buttons. It makes it easy to skip tracks while I'm driving. The hardware in the originals weren't Microsoft though, they were Toshiba. I'm not sure who made the hardware for the HD model.

I'm not angry at Apple. I have an iMac and an iPad, I just didn't want to spend $300. Why you always gotta come at me like that, bro?

Sorry, feeling punchy today.
