It shouldn't come as a surprise that Screen Gems is readying a sixth installment in their Resident Evil games-to-film franchise given the worldwide commercial success of the series' last few outings.
Shock Till You Drop claims that Resident Evil 6 will likely film this fall for a September 12, 2014 release. Milla Jovovich is expected to reprise her role as Alice, while her husband Paul W.S. Anderson will be involved creatively, presumably as director.
Anderson told us last December, "I would love to bring the second trilogy and the whole franchise to a cataclysmic and spectacular apocalyptic ending, and that's what I see the sixth film as."
Looks like we'll see how Alice's standoff at the White House plays out.
