@WayForwardTech finally bought Bloodrayne Betrayal. Beautiful game. You guys should get Nintendo to give you Metroid. I'd kill for that.

@ TZpete So would we! Someone needs to start a petition! (Because petitions are always super effective!)

GarionOrb says:
Give Metroid back to Retro. They did the most justice to the series after Nintendo handed it off.

I dunno, WayForward has been kind of hit or miss lately.

I thought Bloodrayne: Betrayal was not good.

Shanghaied says:
Don't trust Wayforward. Bloodrayne was great, but it wasn't Metroid great.

Give it back to Retro and ask them to do it as a sidescroller seems like a safer bet that I'd love.

Them making another FPS Prime type game seems even safer though.

It's not very effective...

It would be interesting to watch Samus beat enemies by whipping her hair.

Bloodrayne Betrayal may not have been all it could be, and Centipede Infestation and SH: Book of Memories were definitely mediocre, but Alien Infestation was amazing, as was Contra 4. I trust them enough with this stuff, as they seem to respect the old school.

Benpachi says:
Absolutely not. Retro or nobody. Remember what happened the last time Nintendo let some damn third party developer touch a key franchise?

Other M, the only Metroid game I will never play.

Same here, so glad I didn't play that. In my universe, Samus is still a total badass.

Give me the reigns, and I promise you the finally all-nude Metroid you all deserve. Except it will be in 1st person. And you can't look down.

Retro - 3D Prime style
WayForward - 2D Fusion style

I'd prefer Retro for 2D as well, DKC Returns was awesome.

Krypto says:
It seems that their best games are old school 2D shooters/2D platformers(Shantae, Contra 4, Might Switch Force, Aliens etc.). UziSpray hit the nail on the head, have WayForward to a 2D Fusion style game on 3DS and Retro can make Prime type of game on U.

Yeah and I want to make a porno, not gonna happen anytime soon!

Shanghaied says:
Agreed, I'd rather have Retro do a 2D Metroid. They've more than proven they can do a great job of this with DKC Returns, probably better than Wayforward could do.

But at this point, I'd take any sort of 2D Metroid, honestly.

Imagine the possibilities of an HD, 2D Metroid on the Wii U, utilizing the gamepad for map, inventory screen, scanning, etc.....

WOW. Makes me happy in the pants.

Benpachi says:
Retro just gets Nintendo, they did a great job with Metroid Prime and DKC. I think a 2D Metroid by them would be incredible.

I agree though, I'll take 2D Metroid however I can get it at this point. WayForward clearly has love for classic gaming, I'd just rather have Retro do it.
