In no particular order.

Cloud of Sparrows
Musashi
Batman : Knightfall
Batman: No Man's Land
The Hangman's Daughter
Mercury Falls
The Lord of the Rings (I count the three as one LARGE book)
Jurassic Park
Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Patriot (I don't own a PS3, so this is as close as I ever came to actually playing it)
Perdido Street Station

Runner up:
Mass Effect: Ascension

GUEST!! says:
You definitely need to read Across the Nightingale Floor if you liked Musashi and Cloud of Sparrows.

oh, is that one of those "tales of the Otori" books? It's hard for me to get into a japanese fantasy novel of sorts. The Japanese books I've read deal with a real Japan and real time period, but I suppose I could give it a shot ;) Thanks!

GUEST!! says:
It is vaguley fantasy-esque, but it deals with a fairly realistic interpretation of feudal Japan. The author, Lian Hearn, has been pretty strongly praised by Japanese cultural institutions for her attention to detail and historicity.

Beyond that, they're just beautifully written and full of lush drama.

Indeed, my dear. I have. I actually own the first print/edition of Cloud of Sparrows. I always thought both of those (epic!) books would make great movies!

They read like something Quinten Tarentino would put together. I always pictured Ken Wantanabe to play the hallucinating, war-torn Uncle.

I could totally see him as Uncle! Such good books - I need to give them a re-read soon.

Dangit, I hate it when I want to re-read a book but I'm in the middle of a different one...

I know! I'm trying to finish Dead Eye: The Skinwalker Conspiracies so I can move on to The Dark Monk: A Hangman's Daughter Tale (US Edition)

It's tough though, because I cant WILL myself to the end of Dead Eye. I read the first one fast and it was a good book, but this second one (Skinwalker Conspiracy) is pretty slow. They're both about the same length but I'm just stumbling through it.

and FTR, someone should start a petition for a Cloud of Sparrows/Autumn Bridge movie!
