So, I finally watched Source Code [Blu-ray] yesterday. I had bought the movie over 6 months ago for $7, and the main reason I purchased it was because it was directed by the same man who directed one of my favorite sci-fi movies, Moon [Blu-ray] .

I liked this movie a lot, even if it wasn't as engaging as Moon. The thing I love about these movies, is that you can discuss them with friends and you'll likely get different ideas of what each of them understood from it. Some of them will have these wacky concepts of how it all ended, and some might even change your perception of how you viewed the movie.

Could you guys recommend more movies with a sci-fi feel similar to Moon, Source Code, or Looper?

Ok, its a tv show, but Battlestar Gallactica. Im hooked on its story, and im not that big of a sci-fi fan.

Well not similar but Dark City is always good.

Or stick with time traveling and Bruce Willis and get 12 Monkies.

THX-1138 comes to mind. Maybe Solaris. If you like older sci-fi, there's one called Silent Running that fits the bill.

A lot of people have recommended this series, but I haven't gotten around to see it with so many good shows in my backlog. It's on my watch list, though.

Primer is a very low budget, but really good time travel movie.

Limitless was pretty good. Not amazing, but worth the price it's probably at now.

The Adjustment Burea is a surprisingly good movie about fate/freewill.

I'm sure I'll think of more.

For Solaris (any version) I highly recommend reading the book instead.

Its on Netflix streaming. Im like halfway through the 2nd season and really enjoying it. After the first 2 eps, you should know if you'll like it or not.

Here is my only recomendation with Battlestar. The night you finally plan to start it put aside a decent chunk of time. You'll probably watch it for a few hours at least.

Actually be prepared for this to happen

I remember enjoyingGattaca when it came out. Been a few years since I've seen it, but definately a plot driven sci-fi more so than action/sfx.

Ooooh, this.

This is one of those movies where I hate the last act but everything that came before it was so good that I don't care.

Pretty much. I watched the first 4 eps in one sitting. Now I usually watch one at a time.

I couldn't get into Silent Running at all. Way too much hippie bull for my taste. I'm pretty sure Al Gore thinks of that moving when he's making love.

Yeah, it's a "message" movie and pretty dated. Unusual for its time, though.

How about Fahrenheit 451? Fahrenheit 451

OK it's got a decent amount of SFX but it's also got a great story but District 9.

It's also on Netflix...well I think, it at least once was.
