Sonymites are going to praise their exclusives and insult the lack of power in the Wii U compared to the PS4.

Nintendrones are going to point at sales left and right and say that the Wii U is more powerful than the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Xbots are going to buy more Halo, CoD, and Gears than ever thought possible, and will come up with some great excuses as to why Kinect 2 really is fantastic and not gimmicky.

PC Elitists will obviously say how the PC is true gaming, and that it is will always be more powerful than the consoles

Us gamers? Well, we are about to experience that biggest leap in gaming ever made, and will see some of the best games that have ever existed. Prepare yourself mortal, for you know not what is coming.

EDIT: That last part about us gamers isn't one of the stupidest things that will happen nexf-gen. Stupidest in increduality? Perhaps.

Systemers will continue to snivel over which system is better or whether PSN/XBL is better.

Ice King says:
Gamers will not only continue to accept (which we have little choice), but actually defend nickel and dime DLC and microtransactions as well as always online DRM.

DVvM says:
Well, the PC is always going to be more powerful than consoles, but true gaming takes place on a tabletop with dice and miniatures.

As someone who plays primarily on Xbox, who the hell actually defends the Kinect? You can probably leave that one out.

Are you kidding? Kinect is the definitive gaming experience. Between Kinect Star Wars and Fable the Journey it's a wonder the other two companies even bother to stay in the industry.

I never knew what a hardcore gamer was until I walked in a gaming store looking for video games....

but this place didn't have video games.

As I walked in there were two people sitting at a giant table with little toy soldiers, catapults, castle walls, horses.... etc.

They looked over at me and said, "Do you game?"

The stupidest thing that will happen, is nothing will change from what is happening now, and happened during the last generation.

Real tabletop gamers don't even break out the dice because it's all about the RP.

DVvM says:
I used to LARP, but I stopped because I always went home upset because I never won the costuming XP awards I thought I deserved (Find a white suit and carefully die half of it black, and bleach out the bleed with q-tips so you got a starkly contrasting border, trade half of the lenses between your glasses and your (prescription) sunglasses, and wear mismatched shoes all night and lose out to a guy in a kilt? WTF?)

Real tabletop gamers don't even need the tabletop. Or the other people.

Yay, sleep! That's where I'm a viking!
