My assistant just gave me and the other broker in the office some awesome little gifts today. Got some really nice looking organization stuff for post it notes, business cards and pens.

More importantly, she got me a little foosball table and the other broker a mini set of bags. Just spent the last 15 mins in the hallway playing bags. My college experience has been paying off ;)

Anyone else do anything fun? Or just eat a lot?

We had a lunch Christmas party and it was meh. We usually have a dinner party that's pretty fun, but the holiday kind of snuck up on us this year.

Our vendors have been giving each staff member stuff - $20 in Starbucks gift cards, a $10 iTunes card, and a creepy Santa Clause figure. And there's been LOTS of candies and other sweets given out. Fat times, ahoy!

Our group of 50 people who are managed by the same Vice President in the Company played Secret Santa today. It was really cool and people got some ingenious gifts with just a day's notice. I myself gifted a co-worker a coffee mug while I received a Laughing Buddha figurine. It's supposed to bring good luck but it's not been a great day so far. :P

We won't be having a Christmas party though but we are having a post New Year's party later on.

We have our office christmas party today. Apparently this year's big raffle prize is a xbox. For at least the past three parties it's been a wii.

We have ours today. It's really nothing more than food, although I think certain departments are doing a secret santa thing.

I'm just glad they're getting ours catered this year from a decent restaurant. Usually when they cater they used one that was... well... I stopped going there due to cleanliness issues they have.

My department was taken out for lunch to Texas Roadhouse last week which was nice. Other than that we aren't having any really Christmasy happening.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 21, 2012 8:46:37 AM PST
Is Texas Roadhouse one of those restaurants with peanut shells all over the floor???

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 21, 2012 8:47:34 AM PST

I feel your pain, PacinoBully, the first email I read today (from my boss on vacation) said "we need to get this loan closed ASAP". Rofl. Merrrry Christmas!

If by next year you mean January, yes. I'm gone until 2013.

Yes, they serve peanuts at Texas Roadhouse so they are all over the floor at the entrance since people eat them while they are waiting for a table.

Am I the only one who likes to eat the whole peanut? I don't take it out of its shell. I just eat the whole thing, shell and all. My dad always found this weird.
