Oooo I forgot about Xenogears (even though I remembered Albedo from 'saga). I always thought "Grahf, Seeker of Power" was amazing. Mainly for this:

"My fist is the Divine Breath! Blossom o' fallen seed, and draw upon thine hidden powers! The power of the glorious Mother of Destruction!"

Such a badass thing for a villain to say. It's second only to Albedo's monolgue about Rubedo (after cutting off his own head and regrowing it)

"You know what he said as he coughed up his lifeblood? 'Except a grain of wheat fall into the earth and die, it abideth alone.' Wheat, huh. There's enough of it, we can afford to waste as much as we want...JUST LIKE MY HEAD, YOU SEE!"

Xeno games are amazing.

"Al Mualim- Assassin's Creed"

Man, SPOILERS. Though after like the first or second mission that's not even like a surprise.

If people haven't played that game by now, they deserve the spoiler.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 17, 2013 11:53:34 AM PST
It's a video game that's, what, four years old? Maybe a little closer to five?

That's hardly a cultural icon that people should be expected to be familiar with. Fortunately, it telegraphs its plot so damn hard that anybody who's played it for an hour or so and is paying any attention at all should already know exactly what's going to happen for the rest of the game, so spoilers are no more offensive than, say, for a new Mario game.

Still, spoilers. D*** move. Etc.

Hey there's NES games I haven't played dude. A spoiler is a spoiler.

The title of this thread implies you'll know who the villains are in peoples' favorite game. Basically, if you don't want to see spoilers, get off the internet, now.

Diablo says:
Bruce Willis died in the first 5 minutes and only Haley Joel Osment can see him.
Brad Pitt is Edward Norton's split personality and only Edward Norton can see him.
Kevin Spacey is Kaiser Soze and he made up the whole story by looking around the cop's office for names.
Miranda Tate is Talia al Ghul and Bane is not the kid who escaped.
Rosebud is a sled.
And Maury says I AM your father.

Why yes, the internet IS full of d***s (and quite a few p*****s). Doesn't mean that you have to be one.

K Archer says:
Villains I find noteworthy (I can't really say "like" for the most part, since they are the bad guys, so I'm going with those who are most memorable to me)

Jon Irenicus - Baldur's Gate 2 - Guy captures you without any effort, tortures you for weeks, then turns the Asylum into his personal playground after you escape, steals your soul, then goes to drain the power from the Tree of Life, then you have your final showdown in the Abyss (I know it says Hell, but the lore of the game would be the Abyss. Bhaal was CE, not LE, so his realm would have been on the CE plane, not LE plane. I think they actually correct that in the expansion...) And don't cry is, what...13 years old now?

Kessler - Infamous - By the end of the game, I really wanted him dead. Twist at the very end was great too.

Handsome Jack - Borderlands 2 - Yeah, he is just a really good villain. Gearbox did a great job there. that I'm thinking about it, I haven't played a lot of games with really good villains (if they even really had a main one in the first place). Too many RTSs/TBSs and MP games...
