And I think the VGC, in large, is thankful that no one will ask or care about what your shallow definition of 'game' is.

Haha, oh snap!

youtube is what got me hooked into buying Minecraft and Train Simulator 2013, and so far I have no regrets buying both. watching gameplay videos actually helps deside on whether to buy a certain game or not that I dunno about.

Man, remember when you were capable of thinking up your own arguments without having to ham-handedly swipe them from someone else?

Oh, neither do I.

I know I shouldn't even bother to respond but....

No, you can't. Every playthrough of Journey is a different experience. I played it over the weekend again and it was completely different from my own first experience.

If you YouTube it, you'll get one kind of experience, but who knows if it would have actually been your own.

I implied that Journey isn't a game no matter how much you want it to be.

Are you implying a youtube video got a better metascore and most GOTY awards over Halo 4?
No wonder you're mad.

Wow, my thoughts exactly on all accounts. Well stated. Thanks for the post. :)

Journey was ok at best in my book. I finished it once and will probably never touch it again. Limbo and Flower are both far better.

It was a joke post but that was a long time ago.

Roger Ebert gave Spawn a better write-up than The Godfathher Pt. II. Professional reviews are irrelevant.

could say the same for Halo 4 and Halo 4 has a lower score than Journey, so put that in your pipe and smoke it! XD

I know I've said it quite a bit on some threads here, but Hotline Miami kinda has that effect on me. When I first played it and then stopped playing it I couldn't stop thinking about it.

What Journey did for so many people, Limbo did for me. That game haunts me to this day. Journey is... not me. It's just not my personality.

Journey is definitely art. But there's a lot of art I don't particularly care for, so "x is art" doesn't necessarily mean that much.

Journey isn't even worth a "free" PS+ rental.

Mass Effect 3 is like Journey if the Journey ended with you being deflowered by a Kitchenaid mixer.

Those games suck. I'm playing Mass Effect 3.

I thought Flow and Flower sucked but this game looks pretty good. I'm hoping I'll have the time to play it over the weekend.

LeatherFace says:
Yeah, chalk me up as another one who doesn't see what the big deal is. I bought it because this dude I watch on youtube was completely gushing over it, and saying it even tops Ico and is the best game of the generation. So I went ahead and downloaded it, and at first I was pretty impressed with the visuals and the unique multiplayer aspect. So I was quite ready for this game to blow me away just like it apparently had everybody else, and began preparing for something completely epic and emotionally enthralling... and then it became clear -- very, very quickly -- that there really wasn't much of a game here, to be honest. And what gameplay it did have, a good deal of it was just recycled elements from Flower. Basically surfing and flying through a lot of pretty-looking set pieces. Then two seconds later... it was over. Really???

Buy Flower instead. It's a lot longer, for starters. It's also at a discount price now. And as far as utterly non-challenging, surfing-through-pretty-environments games goes, Flower did it better. It had more of a message to it and a better ability of acheiving an emotional connection. It's like the video game equivalent of a relaxing stress ball. It has that majestic quality to it, that it'll infect you with teh hippie and make you think, "screw video games, I wanna go outside".

Journey made me feel absolutely nothing and was only an hour and a half long. It's not worth $15. So if you're on the fence and you're reading this, don't buy into the hype and don't say I didn't warn you.
