I didn't know you played tabletop RPGs.

I'd pay thousands of gold for a masterwork 2D4 dagger.

I think daggers did 1d4 and short swords did 1d6 since the first edition, actually. I thought I remember longswords doing 1d8 and two-handed swords did 1d10.

I'm only really familiar with Pathfinder. My fighter has a short and a long sword. Long is 1d8, short is 1d6.

Just a bit and it was forever ago. Nobody to play with anymore. :(

One of these days we should see about getting a game of D&D going on Skype or something.

As for Crimson Shroud...crapola. All I have on me right now is American Express. The eShop only takes Mastercard or Visa and I only have $5 in my eShop wallet. I'll have to wait until I get home and buy CS with Visa then.

Pathfinder is mechanically virtually a carbon copy of 3.5, and in general they're considered largely compatible.

I'd take a 8000d100+1 dagger with +33% fire/acid/shock effects over a 1d10 short sword any day.

That's what I have heard. I've played a few 3.5 games, but that was always more a passing thing. Pathfinder is the one I've really gotten into in the last couple of years.

Yes. I've mentioned this before. I'm totally down for Skype D&D. Especially if we can get a certain shy someome to play.

My group doesn't get together enough between school and work. My brother and I go to a game at a local comic/hobby shop every two weeks.

That person would require a voice changer but something could be worked out.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 13, 2012 1:37:46 PM PST
That's exactly what I was thinking.

Thank god it has that +1.

[nerd] *ahem* Falchions are 2D4 weapons. [/nerd]

Oh yeah, I forgot about those.

So I decided to pick the game up last night. It's not too bad, it is very DnD ish with some modern twists. Damage isn't actually based on Dice rolls, but you can add dice to them to make them more powerful. It is not a game you can play while watching TV though, there is a lot of reading involved and the DM Describes everything so you have to pay attention. There are no levels or EXP in the game, all your power is based on your gear which you get from battles/chests and you can combine similar items (I.E. Two Bone Axes) to create Bone Axe + 1. Magic is tied to equipment players can only learn skills on their own. I think it's so far worth the 8$, and priced appropriately.

Sounds like a good system.

Keen Falchions FTW!

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 14, 2012 8:17:29 AM PST
But don't falchions have the lowest damage potential of any two handed sword in the game?

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 14, 2012 8:30:49 AM PST
It's interesting to say the least.

There are things still left to Dice Rolls, like weather or not your attempt to lower their Defense or Any other Stat succeeds. But you can add bonus dice to those rolls too.

This game's really good. If you were ever a tabletop RPG nerd, you'll be in love. Imagine if D&D and Vagrant Story had a child, this would be it.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 14, 2012 8:47:21 AM PST
That's Fairly Accurate actually.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 14, 2012 9:02:29 AM PST
But it's one of the best 'base' crit fields. If you get it keen, then if you roll a 15 or better, you've got threat. When you mix that up with whirlwind, it's just a huge mess of gore all over the place.
