Cost to port, they didn't think they will sell well (they port one for PS3, Mobile Suit Gundam Crossfire but with average reviews but shoot, they should've waited and port something better), and some are meant to keep in Japan only.

i've played one or two of the ones that came to america. they sucked. this is coming from a guy who likes just about all the cartoon series'. which kind of left me pre-disposed towards liking the games. still thought they sucked.

Uh... there are nine Gundam games on PS2 (excluding the Dynasty Warriors ones too) so I'm not sure how nine is the same as "why don't we ever get any Gundam games ".

Cause nobody wants them.

No one seems to want anything Gundam...I WANT GUNDAM UNICORN, dagnabbit. But I'll be the first to admit I have seen tons of Gundam and never once played the games that do exist.

I know it's not Gundam, but have you picked up Zone of the Enders? A Gundam fan should enjoy that.

I've been playing some of the Gundam games on Wonderswan. That system has a ton of them. I'm not really well versed on Gundam or any anime, but the Wonderswan games are pretty enjoyable so far.

Gundam Unicorn. The mini-series? The one you can buy on DVD or blu-ray, legitimately, in the US? The ones that are released on the PSN for rental or purchase?

What I'm trying to say is, what you want is available.

Loved ZOE2. The first one is alright, mind you, but in my opinion the second was far better

I agree. I thought I loved the first one. Then the second one was released. I fell in love with that game.

Gundams? We don't need no stinkin' Gundams.

I think they do come out with the anime comes on. Anime games only come when that anime is popular over here. Otherwise I doubt they will get enough funding from a publisher to warrant the localization effort.

Posted on Nov 28, 2012 5:16:37 AM PST
They're afraid overzealous developers may accidently release their actual top secret blueprints for all the Gundams they're building underground in Japan in a bid for ultra realism in games. Duh.

Cost of localization > believed sales in US

Probably because Gundam isn't very popular in the west. I think the last popular mainstream anime was DBZ - hence the slew of Budokai games and spin-offs. I don't know what anime is popular now... Naruto?

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 28, 2012 5:42:56 AM PST
Yea, I think the most popular is naruto. I believe Bleach was getting there, but since then the anime ended. Other than that I am not sure.

Mrs. User says:
The end is not available in the US...you can buy it from Japan for like $75 a blu-ray, but they have no NA distribution at this time for the end of the show.
