Is BurgerTime HD any good? I grew up on the original.

March 19th is my birthday, I think I might grab X-Men and maybe BurgerTime as a present to myself. :)

I thought the demo was pretty awful, but I had never played the original. Maybe there will be a nostalgic factor for you there.

Been meaning to check out Hard Corps for a while now. Even though Battle: Los Angeles didn't get the best reviews, I think I'll snag it as well. I'm a big FPS fan, and even though it's only around an hour long, I still wanna check it out.

I'm still pretty new to buying on XBLA. $5 equals 400 points, right?

It does equal five bucks.

Has anyone played Battle: LA? I heard it was not bad but pretty short.

Are the Castlevania LoS DLC worth it? Anyone know what they are?

Nicos says:
I did not care for Reverie at all. It was mainly just puzzles with an annoying (not really challenging, but frustrating enough to become tedious) wall blade section. Plus it is kinda anti-climatic when Gabriel turns. They easily could have made a whole game dealing with his descision and given us a compelling reason behind it. Instead you get "you need to do this so you can do this."

It made me lose all interest to pick up Resurrection.

Meh...Have everything.

If they lower the DLC for Castlevania: HoD by quite a bit then maybe I'll bite....I'm not sure though, that game is tough playing solo.

Will do, man. 99% sure now that I'll snag it when it goes on sale. I watched some video of it last night, and it looks alright.

Looks like standard DLC, total ripoff

Hmm, I thought BurgerTime was a Data East game. Did Konami pick up the rights after they went under? Oh well, definitely not going to complain about a sale.

Is it based on the arcade game, with the arcade difficulty? I remember it being balls hard, but that was a long time ago.

I'm really hoping we'll get some sort of announcement soon about Castlevania from Konami. Lords of Shadow was awesome and I would love to see more about the inevitable sequel and what Iga may be working on.

JWK says:
Me too. Konami said they were going to do something special for Castlevania's 25th anniversary. But that was in September. I wasn't a big fan of Lords of Shadow, so I'm hoping the next game is in 2D on the 3DS. Pipe dreams, perhaps.

LOS is one of my favorite this gen. Sonymites had trouble with it for some reason.

It was the God of War comparisons.

My dream game is a 2D Metroidvania in FULL HD with sprites. I'll gladly spend $60 on that but I imagine if that ever does happen it will be a downloadable title.

You couldn't mindlessly button mash your way through the game so people gave up on it. Or at least that's what I gathered from reading a lot of people's posts.

new Tron says:
I'm hoping that is Retro Studios' "secret project that everyone wants us to do".

I would love a new "2D" Castlevania in one of two ways. Beautiful hand drawn graphics ala the new Rayman but with a darker feel of course. Or a 2D vania with 3d graphics ala Shadow Complex.

In reply to an earlier post on Mar 8, 2012 9:15:33 AM PST
I don't know what the native resolution for it is (I'd assume at least 720p), but otherwise isn't that pretty much what Bloodrayne: Betrayal is? (I've never played it, but I've heard it described as being very Castlevania-ish, anyway.)
