Over 100 games brought and never played going back to PS1. Mainly collect any decent RPG out there with the "goal" of one day playing it. Then work, marriage, kids got in the way. I have finally scripted a plan to make it through. One real RPG -Secret of Mana, one sports game - 2k12, one simple game (Half minute hero-xbla is really addicting and simple) and one game that I just need to finish GTA - Vice City. It is terrible and I need help.

I only bought 3 from thd steam summer sale. And Amalur from best buy.

After beating a bunch of short adventure games and 1 rpg, my % beaten is now over 30%. Until i enter these new games to the database of course.

Well, we've been having some great sales since this thread was last seen, so how many games have you added to your backlog?

Some of you guys need pro. therapists.

Better, yet, how about a reality show! lol

I also have a huge backlog. About 70% of all noteworthy titles from this current gen lol.

On the plus side, I did manage to beat Folklore today. I'm going to start with "The Darkness" tomorrow. I heard it's fun and it doesn't take too long to beat.

I'm tackling this one game at a time.

This is why game length is not a big selling point to me. Ill probably get tired of a game before i can put 100 hours into it.

Right now the only two games I have on my backlog are HotD Overkill and Yakuza 4. I also want to get around to Twisted Metal's story mode, but I'm having too much fun with the online.

EDIT: Forgot about ModNation and Wipeout for the Vita. Need to finish those too.

-----> hangs head in shame .... backlog has grown, making progress but losing ground - too many good deals abound. to say nothing of adding the Vita & games to the list. although I did complete Uncharted Vita, still completing mysteries & such, but saw the credits roll .... also added the Ipad & it's games to the list. yikes, will I ever get through the backlog ? BB has a deal to get an additional 50% off of any used title .... I was strong & left empty handed, although really wanted the Jak & Daxter collection - but there was no used copy, so I held off !

OH no! Another reminder about my giant backlog. You know what's hilarious? I finally started to make progress and then those jerks at Sony started releasing HD collections! Now I'm playing a bunch of games I BEAT YEARS AGO with trophies of all things.....NOOOooooooo!

On a positive note: cleared Skyrim completely (all sidequests, misc quests, and dungeons cleared from the wiki) and I'm close to slaying the giant monster that is Warriors: Orochi 3.

And I thought I had issues, lol.

I read on MS' site that both Doom 3s and KoTOR will work on my Xbox 360, so I want to get KoTOR and Doom 3 RoE. I already beat Doom 3, sort of, on a used Xbox I bought in 2010. I reached the Cyberdemon and got bored, I got plenty of enjoyment from the story and gameplay up to that point.

im actively playing prince of pesrsia forgotten sands, enslaved, and killzone 2. had to quit crysis2 early because the people at blockbuster are nazis. it literally cost me $13.79 because of a crappy $5 late fee, and i didn't even get to finish. i'm also somewhere in the middle of morrowind, kotor2, god of war 3, dragon quest 9, final fantasy 13, demon's souls new game +5, dragon age 2, assassins creed brotherhood, fallout nv (second playthrough), and probably a few other games that are further back in my backlog that i've just forgotten about. i really don't think its a problem because as soon as summer comes around and good games stop coming out i'll be able to catch up. please no affirmations that why i quit alcoholics anonymous and decided to drink my self to death. believe me thats way less depressing then watching old men cry for an hour.

I know, right?! I do sometimes get back to a game though. It probably took me close to 7 or 8 years to actually finish Final Fantasy VII. I liked the game a lot, but back when I first started playing it I was in middle/high school and was a total overachiever (honor roll, advanced placement classes, peer counseling, etc.) and so I would keep straying. But after years of playing and restarts, I finally beat it!!!

Tara says:
Generally, if I stop playing a game for awhile, I have to start over. But I mostly stick to story-driven games, and I forget the details if I stop playing for too long.

I do go back and finish games. I stopped playing FF13 for a month and one day went back and beat it. I went back to playing Resonance of Fate too...but I ditched it again....did make through like 5 more chapters though.

It's funny how we try and fool ourselves to believe that we are eventually going to get back to playing a game but never do. I tell myself everyday that I am going to play this game or that game but ultimately start playing a totally different game. I'm standing firm on finishing Dragon Quest VI though.

Started Alpha Protocol, played chpt 1. Bought Folklore, decided to try it out, then stopped to plat MvC3. Bought BLands GOTY, playing this currently but friend wants to start RE5:GE. Not to mention all the games for handhelds on both DS and PSP, PSN games and wrapped PS3 games.

Thanks Jawwaad!
I wasn't even taking my Wii into consideration. Although for that, most of the "backlog" is games I want to buy - both Super Mario Galaxies, Donkey Kong, etc.
My PS2 backlog is even more ridiculous. I actually have my PS2 sitting out right next to my PS3 because I managed to convince myself I would return to it one day.
Heck, I'm still within hours of finishing the first Parasite Eve!

Tara, we're here for you. You are exactly how I am. I start playing a game and then I check out another game and the previous game gets backlogged. It happens everytime. I also have a lot of games I want to buy. Both Super Mario Galaxies are on the top of my list. I just bought the PSP almost a month ago and there are a lot of games I want for that.

I too...have a problem. It seems like every time I start a game, I get distracted. Started the campaign on Black Ops, and really only played for a couple of hours 1 day. Now when I play, I go straight to MP.
I bought Heavy Rain, and started getting really into it. Then my brother loaned me Uncharted 2 without even asking, and I couldn't not start it after all the good things I've heard about it!
This is just recently! It doesn't even touch on the rest of the games I've picked up! In fact, I think the only PS3 game I've beaten (not even completed, if you're taking trophies into consideration) is FFXIII.
My problem isn't that I don't find the games interesting enough to finish, it's just that I start getting interested in something else, or something happens (bro loaning me UC2), etc.

Not only am I backlogged in the games I already have, but I am seriously backlogged in the games I still want to buy!

My name is Tara, and I have a problem. I am a backlogged shopper with ADD.
