Jef says:
A little warning about the PS3's, especially the older models.
There have been numerous drive failures to hardware failures.
The official PS3 boards are flooded with post after post about broken PS3's.

There's post after post in the Apple discussion forums of iPods breaking, but you don't see their dominance ending anytime soon.

Tigs says:
Everything has the potential to break, it's a matter of failure rate! Microsoft still has Sony beat in this regard.

Oh, you're the "find a very old thread and bump it" type of troll. Great.

A lot of deleted posts here. I'm curious what was so important you had to dig up a year and a half old thread.

To counter the topic of this thread, I will say that I've had an 80 GB Motorstorm bundle PS3 (fatty) since that bundle was released and it's still going strong and gets used constantly. 99% of the time for gaming. Though 2 of my 4 USB ports aren't working any more, for whatever random reason.

It falls down to how people take care of the system honestly. Even then that's not always the case either. I have a tendency of leaving my consoles in open spaces and running for hours, if not days. But not once have they sprung the YLOD or even the RROD. =/

Thanks, dood! Mine's worked fine for the past four years, but just as a precaution, I'm taking mine to Gamestop and trading it in now for a $75 gift card.

(By the way, I was hoping this would be slightly more creative when I read the title)

Nathan Lynch says:
That's the same bundle that I got, my wife bought it for me the holiday season it came out (2008 maybe?) and it has been working like a champ. Moved from Texas, to New York, finally to MA and it's been great.
