Personally, since this was my first steam sale, I think I did pretty good. I didn't go way overboard with purchases. All together, a good haul for me.

The Binding of Isaac and DLC
Borderlands GOTY
Costume Quest
Dead Island
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Divine Divinity
Divinity 2: DKS
DA:O Ultimate
Oblivion
Skyrim
Fallout: NV
Portal 2
Stacking
Terraria
The Witcher 2

So what did everyone else get?

Sisyphus says:
Sniper Elite V2 (amazon)
Star Wars TFU
Alan Wake American Nightmare
Payday: the Heist
Plants vs Zombies
The Witcher
The Witcher 2
Killing Floor
Fallout: NV
Fear 3
Amneisia
Terraria
Deus Ex 1
Universe Sandbox
World of Goo
Torchlight

Might still get Quantum Conundrum

Alice : Madness Returns $4.99
Driver: San Francisco $7.49
The Walking Dead full season $14.99
Portal 2 $4.99
The Witcher 2 $15.99
Borderlands GOTY $7.49
Dead Island $10.13
Left 4 Dead 2 $4.99

Serious Sam 3 BFE $9.99
CIV V GOTY $7.49
Killing Floor $4.99
Red Faction :Armageddon $4.99
Hard Reset $2.49
Orcs Must Die $3.74 (gifted to me)
Insanely Twisted shadow Planet $3.74
Dear Esther $2.49
The Binding of Isaac $1.24
Dungeon Defenders $3.74
From Dust $3.74
Fallout 3 GOTY $4.99
Hydrophobia Prophecy $1.24

Avg ~4.89 a title counting The Walking Dead as 5 individual episodes...

I managed $7x.00 in trade ins from console games towards $70 in Steam Wallet codes, my wife handed me a $50 Steam Wallet card last week for my birthday...so i ended up reshuffling my gaming library around, nabbing all kinds of new games and coming out of pocket just $15...Not bad at all.

Garry's Mod
ARMA 2: CO
Machinarium
Botanicula
Samarost2
Dead Island
Defense Grid
Risen
Fable: TLC
Trine 2
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands
Shoot Many Robots
Two Worlds 2 DLC

$53.56 for 15 items, so average is 3.83 for each. Considering Arma 2 was $18, that threw the average up a bit. ;)

Are you are really going to play all those games?

Nothing, my Steam library is already way too big, thanks to those humble indie bundles.

Same here... I was tempted to buy, but didn't.
I have an Amazon credit card, so I get regular (free) gift-cards whenever I buy stuff with my CC. So, that's free money that I use towards anything on amazon... especially digital downloads. Plus, any coins that I have, I take it to a CoinStar machine and exchange for amazon gift-cards as well.

Eventually. Between my laptop during slow days at the office and the times that I'm at home and everyone else is doing somthing else, I should be good. Now, if you're asking if I'm going to FINISH all of the games, not too likely. I play to have fun, socialize with my friends, and decompress. Not to pass a bar set by a dev that says when I should be done with a game.

Edit: Wow, I just tried to figure out how long my added games would take for me to finish. Just, wow. Yup, not gonna finish all of them.

Yep, same here.

Also, I'm approaching that turning point where sticking to PC and my old platforms come next gen seems the sensible thing to do. Just turned 35 and i have a few hobbies to tend to besides adding more gaming platforms and proprietary console expenditures under my belt. My kids are pretty active and are showing no desire for the couch play either despite having it, they just gravitate totheir portables... so no i'm not gonna force them or invest into more multiple boxes to compete for attention in my living room. At least, i'd like to have the will power not to :P

These sales let me stock up on enough material, at a such a low cost, so that when boredom strikes i always have something new to try.

Besides, on PC everything looks next gen :D

Alan Wake: American Nightmare
Dear Esther
The Longest Journey
Q.U.B.E.
Quantum Conundrum + DLC
The Secret of Monkey Island 1 & 2
The Witcher 2

$28.25 total.

Posted on Jul 22, 2012 12:48:00 PM PDT
I've noticed that Dear Esther is showing up a couple of times and starting to think that I missed out. I saw the trailer, and it just seemed like some digital story without any gameplay. Was I wrong to pass it up?

I just started getting into pc gaming most of what I got were AAA titles
Batman Arkham city
Dead space 1 and 2
Skyrim
Portal 2
Need for speed hot pursuit
Burnout ultimate box
Saints row the third
Just cause 2
Limbo
Deus ex
Braid
Bastion (wow 10 minutes in and I'm loving it)

Can anyone recommend a program so I can use my Xbox controller for all games not just skyrim batman etc? I'd like to use if for bastion.

FV says:
Alan Wake + American Nightmare
Splinter Cell Collection (been eyeing that for years now)
Bit.Trip
NFS: Hot Pursuit (This was an impulse buy. I could have done without this)
GTA Episodes From Liberty City

Total: $36.95

I honestly purchased too much this sale. If I could do it over again, I think I only would have gotten Alan Wake.

Kirksplosion says:
Well, if you skipped it because it looked like just a digital story without much gameplay, then you probably made the right choice since that's essentially what it is. I haven't tried it yet, but from what I've heard and read, most of the interactivity is in just walking around from location to location listening to a narrator as you go along. Sounds quite intriguing to me, but I can see how it'd turn others off.

FV says:
No program needed. If it's wired, windows will automatically detect the drivers for the controller. Then it's a matter of changing the in game settings from M&K to Controller. Bastion readily supports the 360 controller. If you have a wireless controller, you are going to need to pick up an adapter.

You can make an account on howlongtobeat.com and add all your back logged games and it will tell you how many hundreds of hours it will take to beat them all. I started cataloging mine, but there are so many, I need a special website to estimate how long it would take to simply catalog all my backlog games.

Quantity wise, that looks a lot like my list, if you listed the indie bundles as one game per bundle.
Impressive haul.
