I live in CT, we're supposed to get pounded on Tuesday. I really hope it doesn't turn out as bad as they expect, that would be three years in a row with a ridiculous October storm. Seriously considering moving.

I hope winds are not that intense. I just planted some top heavy small trees and shrubs early this summer. I can see my weeping willow getting yanked by the head. I may have to tie down and stake them to be safe. I have a tree over my driveway with extending branches, so may have to park on the street. Roll up the area carpeting in the basement in case we get water...arrrrgh...

FRANKENSTORM!
Well, that's what the NY tabloids are calling it. Of course, if they get everyone all worked up they sell more papers.

I was planning on starting a thread about this.

I'm in Pittsburgh.

Before it gets to me, though, it will dump rain upstream of me, in the Allegheny and Monogahela rivers.

Snow and wind gusts over 50mph starting Sunday and lasting 3 or 4 days usually snowy and windy here this time of year anyways but I'm sure Sandy has something to do with it as well
