That Emu Kid says:
Viewers. The problem is no one actually cared about Firefly until years after it was off the air.

I know this is a late reply, so hopefully it wasn't ninja'd.

She's ok. Not really my type. I respect that she's pretty, but she doesn't put pressure on the ole steamworks, if you know what I mean.

Sort of. It was impossible for them to keep viewers the way they were treating it. Fox showed the episodes out of order, constantly changed the schedule from week to week without warning and indication of what timeslot it was going to.

Basically, they didn't think a space show would float and they were obligated to have one more show out of Whedon before his contact expired so they tried to weasel out of it as best as they could. Word has it Whedon didn't exactly fight to keep it running, either.

More for me.

*For the record, I looked up her age to make sure she wasn't as young as her character.

Haha, yeah, I said girl, even besides her character's age.

Haha... No... I actually read an article decrying the sexualization of Katniss Everdeen through provocative pictures of the actress wielding the character's bow. She's a very consenting 21 years of age.

In reply to an earlier post on May 1, 2012 12:22:53 PM PDT
None of those we particularly bad...and yeah. In the book, the characters never have sex, but she certainly uses Peeta's love of her to her advantage.

In reply to an earlier post on May 1, 2012 12:29:03 PM PDT
Nothing particularly bad, and nothing that I would certainly freak out about being that the actress herself is 21, but the idea of the article was that it's a little offputting that she was wielding the bow thus making a reference to her being a 16 year old girl, underaged, and that the sexiness is kind of besides the point since that is to bring in a target demographic of men 18-35 despite the fact that the movie primarily aimed at young girls.

Wow... Katniss killed the thread. I wonder if she guerilla gardens...

She sneaks up on competing gardens and strangles the gardener.

Just got out of a horrid meeting. Eh, its toward the end of the day. Everyone is out getting the last stages of their guerilla gardening attacks planned. You know......go to sleep, wake up to go to work and BOOM!!!! Sunflower in the middle of your yard!

In reply to an earlier post on May 1, 2012 12:50:20 PM PDT
Yay for crappy meetings.

Anjel says:
I may have this guerilla gardening all wrong, but if I woke up and there was a sunflower in the middle of my yard, I'd think that was so cool.

Ian B. says:
Yeah, thankfully its almost time to go home. So it did kill about an hour and a half.

In reply to an earlier post on May 1, 2012 12:53:25 PM PDT
Me, too. I love sunflowers.

I'm finally down to just about 5 mins... and this less than 4 hours of sleep is wreaking havoc.
