I never thought there would be a day that I would say... Skyrim is a great game!

Just thought I would share this with the VGF because I couldn't stand Oblivion, I could even make it out of the cave before I retired that game. I didn't even like Fallout 3, I wasn't able to make it out of the vault before quitting that game. I absolutely hated Fallout New Vegas, I only made it to the first town before I gave up on that game too.

With all that said, and from the feedback I received here in the VGF I decided Skyrim would not be worth checking out.

Against my judgment, I stopped by Gamestop and picked up a used copy of Skyrim last weekend. Needless to say, I've owned the game a week now and I'm currently a Level 7 Nord.

I just find it interesting that I hated all the other games by the developer, but they definitely did something right with this one. It's very cinematic, amazing atmosphere, upgrading system etc...

Looking forward to investing many hours of my life to this game!

I'm glad you like it.

But if you never left the vault in Fallout 3 you never actually started the game.

It just feels like they upgraded the system in a good way.

Yeah that's what everyone told me Strider, I probably never go back to it, but Skyrim will keep me busy for a long time.

This seriously. I was going to say that word for word. Fallout 3 is probs my fave game this generation.

I too am enjoying Skyrim immensely and I struggled with Oblivion. Its kinda meh to me. I m sure I would have been in love with it when it was new though. (dont worry I made it out of the cave ;))

yea i have played all the DLCs. i liked Anchorage and Lookout. but Mothership Zeta was strange but still cool, i mean who doesn't want to kill little green men? lol Broken Steel was my favorite even though it just continues the story. The Pitt was ok not as good as the other ones but still not bad

Good to hear. They all look good. I also have a couple side quests to finish from the main game.

Lol yeah actually I did make it out of the cave, but that was literally where I left off.

I'm liking everything about Skyrim though, and I love that I can play it at my own leisure.

I'm in the same boat as you, not a big fan of Oblivion or Fallout 3 either but I caved and bought Skyrim when it first came out, put a few hours into it but couldn't really get into it, gave it another go over the weekend and i'm pretty hooked on it right now, currently a lv 20 nord, not sure what the difference is, maybe its just thanks to the dry spell of very few good games out right now.
