So, I just downloaded Thorium wars to my 3DS

And I am having a problem getting past the "Enter Profile Name" screen.

If this not compatible with the 3DS, then Nintendo should have not made it available for 3DS users.

I read a few reviews and everyone said it's nothing special or not worth the $10.

What specifically is the problem?

I type my name in, to create a profile. But there is not a button on the keyboard to press, like "enter". So I can't go past that screen.

Have you tried pressing the physical buttons? (A) or Start, in particular?

I figured it out.

This game seems hard, at first.

So far, I have only tried the first flying mission. I keep getting the dreaded "mission failed" message, at the end.

I really want a tank sim, like Activision's Robot Tank for the 2600.

But Activision has not ported their games to the DS or 3DS. Only Atari has.

Well if the name selection screen stumped you, it doesn't surprise me that you find the actual gaming part to be difficult.

Get M1 Tank Platoon for the PC, if you can find it anywhere. Nothing beats popping off T-72s and T-80s at 1 mile with a sabot round. Yeah I know it's pretty old school. You gotta miss Microprose.

How close minded of you, to make that assumption.

It was late in the day and I was/am tired.

Some games have you hit enter and proceed to the "start game" screen, while others have you hit the back button. I thought it was the former.

Once I get my laptop fixed, will that game run on Windows 7?

In reply to an earlier post on Aug 1, 2012 7:22:34 PM PDT
Modern Bear says:
Come to think of it it probably wouldn't because it was a DOS game (1989). M1 Tank Platoon 2 might though because that was a Windows game (1998).
