Prankster says:
I managed to finish the final chapter of Portal 2 in the single player campaign and it was just awesome. Then I also played two courses of the co-op campaign with Foghorn and that impressed me even more than the single player. Hats off to Valve!

I also managed to start Alan Wake on the 360 and I am midway through Chapter 2 now. Another great game with really different gameplay. It has an environment which you just get immersed in. The only complaint I have so far is the character animation. It's downright horrible. Also, Alan Wake is a complete d-bag so far!

So how was everyone else's weekend, gaming wise?

Got some more AC3 playtime in. Trying so hard not to put this game down and sell it. In my opinion, the story have just gone downhill since the end of AC2. Everything feels more like a chore than what the game was originally about. I'm not liking the decision to take this franchise more open world than it was in the first two game. Sacrificing story is not good.

Decided to focus on one game per platform. I spent most of the weekend playing Far Cry 3 on the PS3. Made pretty good progress there. Played through chapter one of Hitman Absolution on the 360. All in all, a good weekend.

I loved Hitman. You weren't pulled into it? I'm assuming you weren't, being that you only played the first chapter.

Lots of MWO on Friday and Dark Souls the rest of the weekend.

I started a hunter and pumped all my levels into dex. I'm using a +10 black bow with 40 dex at SL 45. Hits like a truck, I love it! I never knew you could stun-lock Quelaag.

Played some Dungeon Defenders over Steam with tron and WeaKen...good times.

Fired up the Fire Emblem demo. I can see myself getting into this game.

Dabbled with Blops 2 MP.

Some Gears 3. Found Adam Fenix, so i should be be wrapping it up the last few chapters in the next sitting.

How many hours have you put into Dark Souls, Captain?

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 18, 2013 4:58:39 AM PST
142 hours on Steam. I'm guessing around 150 or so on PS3 at least. I think I have 80 hours in my plat character alone.

Bought both Resident Evil 6 & Raccoon City combined for $25, and went in hard on 'em! Both were excellent (in my opinion). Finally had a weekend off. Also, finally got around to Crysis 2, ha.

The weekend is not over yet. I have been playing Fire Emblem:Awakening and Metal Gear Solid. I am going to play some more now. Later.

You playing on PC? What Soul Level are you? If you need help let me know.

I can usually create an SL 25 and be at Quelaag in about 20-30 minutes tops, otherwise I have an SL 1 for low level help and multiple characters in the 40s.

Prankster says:
On PS3 and I haven't started yet. It will take me a long time to get to that level but I know you'll still be playing then. :P

But if you have a low level guy there as well, I wouldn't mind asking for help if I'm stuck somewhere.

I might, but I'd have to look on PS3. I think most of them are all over SL 50 and probably closer to 100.

Started Quantum Theory on normal. Man, is it hard!

Prankster, I have an SL1 character on PS3 that could help you. My PSNID is 'jdbly' if you'd like to friend request me.

Capt, how did you get the +10 Black Bow so fast in a new game?

I spent the weekend playing Dead Space 3...finished my 'hard' playthrough and then did an 'impossible' run, completing that last night. Then I started a 'classic' mode playthrough, but I think I'm going to switch to 'Pure Survival' mode instead.

I played a little bioshock. It's extremely slow go as I'm not getting much gaming time these days

Prankster says:
I'd probably try by myself first but if I get stuck at a higher SL, I will definitely grab a hold of you on PSN :)

Prankster says:
I'll add you, dood. And I'll let you know if I need any help when I play.

It's good to have fans of this game. You know there's always someone to help you out when you're stuck then. I had played 2-3 levels with a few people in Demon's Souls and man that was fun!

I didn't spend any souls until I killed the gargoyles, then dropped 20k on the crest to open the forest door, leveled my str to 14 for my uchi and put the rest of the souls into dex. Rushed the forest and killed the two knights with my uchigatana (I love you bleeding), then kicked Pharis off the ledge while he was trying to shoot me in the face. Reloaded the game, grabbed the bow, and headed out.

By the time I hit blighttown I had already collected multiple large shards and was able to get it to +10 right before finishing Sens Fortress. Since I just got the Lordvessel I'm going to go farm some chunks off DW in New Londo and grab the very large ember to get it to +15. I blew all the O&S souls to increase my pyromancy glove. I completely forgot to grab Power Within though, so I have a lot to do.

I haven't decided yet if I'm going to use PW or the red tearstone ring.

Also, I found out there's a bonfire right off New Londo ruins once you drain it while watching a video. I had no idea!
