My copy has shipped and should be waiting at my door tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait to play this game!
Who else is playing day one?

Looking at the reviews...they range from ''bad'' to ''meh''. Even Giantbomb thinks it's bad, and usually at least one guy there likes it. Rental for me.

=( Not me, I wanted to get it and co-op with my buddy, but this is going to have to be a christmas list item.

Kirksplosion says:
I finally gave the demo a try. I'd give it a solid "that was alright" out of 10.

RE is dead to me.

From the demo I can tell it's a solid, smooth, "good" game but it's not Resident Evil. It's not scare-your-scoks-off horror, it's centered more around action.

I'm not really sure if I'm going to get it yet.

Nope, I learned my lesson with RE5.

I swear on my future unborn babies i am the BIGGEST Resident Evil fan but i couldn't finish the demo. It was horrible, boring, and mediocre. I can't believe this is the first time am not buying a Resident Evil game but the series has just fell off the cliff.

Marvelous says:
My memory of old Resident Evil games is that I use to have horrible nightmares after playing them, and I was sometimes so scared that I had to turn the lights on.

It seems as though Resident Evil games have tuned into this action/horror, in that you don't feel so helpless, so the fear factor is never there. I don't mind, but I can see why this bothers followers of the series.

Yikes, might have to wait. Those reviews are brutal. I have Blands 2 to keep me busy until like December, maybe I'll get it then.

Last RE game I bought was Nemesis. RE4 was good, but not for me. Same with 5. The Leon part of the demo had me slightly hopeful, but not enough to buy it. Maybe when it hits 30.

Yeah because of money issues, I decicded to get cheap games, and put this and Dishonored on a Christmas list.

I have been a Resident Evil fan from the beginning and I have loved every game. It has undergone many changes since the beginning but I still love it.

I played the demo and it was a solid "meh". Kinda weird Resident Evil 4 was one of the best games ever and the others that followed barely held my attention.

I do think it's great you can finally walk and aim at the same time. Took long enough.

Getting Dishonored... So not enough extra in the bank for this one or X-Com... Might pick up X-Com before I get RE6 since I still haven't beat RE5... Or played it for that matter...

I keep hearing negative and neutral things about it, but a buddy and I played the demo and we had fun together. We're both getting it tomorrow.

I don't trust GI after they gave God of War 3 a 10 but complained about it the whole time. Plus they gave God of War 3 a 10.

Well fun trumps whatever anyone else writes. Enjoy.

I think Im satisfied with Borderlands 2 and Arkham City right now. Given the reviews, Ill pass for quite a while. The apple has fallen very far from the tree.

RE4 is one of my favorite games of all time. I found RE5 "fine" but a big step down from RE4 (what wouldn't be). Played through all 3 scenarios in the demo and promptly cancelled my pre-order. I will be picking this up, just at $20-30, not at $60.

I think if I was more into co-op multiplayer I'd have a lot more to be excited about but what I crave is a great single player RE game and I think those days are over.

Holy ****. Gamespot gave it a 4.5. These reviews are all over the place.

That's too bad. I played through RE5 single player 15 times. I'm not exaggerating on that number either.
