I haven't even finish the game yet. Got bored and now taking a few months off from playing it. Man, I have a ton of half played games.

I bought this game, put 5 hours into it, and then became obsessed with dark souls again.

So I probably won't even get to it until 3-4 months from now...If that. Hopefully by then some of the DLC is on sale.

Haha, I played 10 hours of it and got extremely bored with it. Taking a 1-2 months off it most likely, same what NCGuy said.

What's with everyone getting bored with Amalur so quickly? This isn't the first I've heard of this. I bought the game a couple weeks back during the Gamestop sale for $30 brand new, and I'm thinking maybe I should've waited...

I'm still waiting for the game to get cheap enough for me to buy it. I did replay (and finally finish) the demo this past weekend. It didn't freeze on me this time!

It's a great game, it has an amazing combat system, fluid controls, great schematics and graphics. It lacks openness as most WRPG games have. But it's lacking depth for me, it feels everything is unnecessary. Games like Sacred 2, Two Worlds 2, etc, are very similar. But Sacred 2 was done a bit different, TW2 was more open.

But it's still an amazing game, it just can get bored very quickly if you play it too much. Atleast for me. Skyrim has that lasting appeal because 50% of the game is exploring and finding new things and 50% quest/story. When Amalur is 90% quest/little exploring.

I actually loved what I played of the game, I just started it at a bad time...The combat is awesome and the story seemed pretty good.

I played 105 hours of Amalur and wasn't bored.

I, however, will not be buying any DLC until I want to do a second playthrough since my character already hit the level cap.

Many of the Amalur side quests are boring to do. I don't even read what I need to do anymore, just go to the point of the map then kill whatever and return item to NPC. Almost all the item drops are useless now. I don't even look at the stats because it's never better than the weapons that I have made myself. Gold is pretty much useless midway into the game. I have tons of gold and nothing to buy. Combat is way too easy, I am playing on hard and only died maybe twice during the 20+ hours I have played.
