It's being done by Bioware Montreal, who were the people who built the cinematics and N7 missions for ME2, and a good portion of ME2's DLC, ME3s multiplayer, parts of the ME3 single player, and the forthcoming ME3 DLC "Omega."

There is really not much I can tell you about the game right now, except that it will be built with the amazing technology of Frostbite as its foundation, enhanced by many of the systems that the Dragon Age III team has already spent a lot of time building.

"What we can tell you though, is that we will completely cave into public pressure if you don't like anything about the game. We will cave in so fast and hard you'll wonder how we can stand upright. We'll change anything about this game based on just a single bad user experience. Seriously, whatever you want in this game, just complain, and we'll make it happen. This game will have the largest pool of developers because we consider our fans bad remarks about our games development insight."

You do realize that by pointing out "ninja'd" (which ironically you were ninja'd on) you are keeping this post at the top of the page making it more likely that people will comment on this post rather than the original post, right?

Is this your intention?

I wasn't ninja'd...because I pointed out that he'd been ninja'd multiple times, which the original ninja'd post failed to say.

I rather liked all the items listed from ME2. A new ME will be awesome, especially if we can finally ditch Shepard.

Casey Hudson did remark on Twitter that in his call for user suggestions for the new ME game that "playable alien races" was extremely popular.

So it's perhaps likely we'll be able to pick one (I'd very much like to have the option for an Asari protagonist.)

I personally hope this is not just the Human/Turian first contact wars.

I am hoping for playable alien races as well. If that is a part of the new game, it will be very interesting to see how they portray the story. The previous titles didn't leave you with much in the way of diversity as far as how the overall story played out.

I am much more interested in a different, all new story set in the ME universe rather than the first contact war as well. Although I can see where that could make an interesting game in its own right. I liked the ME Infiltrator game, set in the same time period as some of Shepard's work, even though I'm hoping for much more out of this new title.

Poor Curt Schilling. ME has become everything he hoped Kingdoms of Amalur would. And I love Bioware for it.

Personally, I trust Bioware enough to let them do whatever they want with the next game (minus a shitty ending). My only hope is that if their main character can be played as a female, then let her ACT like a female. Which is not to say that she should act like she's constantly PMSing but there were too many instances in the trilogy where Femshep would react the way a man would (as in not shedding a single tear when someone close to her dies), or her physical demeanor would be totally masculine. And that could be rather disturbing sometimes.

I think she acted like a "soldier".

Excepting for the fact that the character animations are the same for both broshep and femshep (this needs fixing), I never, for one second, thought Shepard was insufficiently feminine. Remember that she's career military who is a top level special forces operator who is has already seen significant action before the game (recall that she can *start* as a "war hero".) Her demeanor was more or less appropriate for her character.

If you made the protagonist of the next Mass Effect game someone who's not military, then they ought to behave differently.

I haven't played the first, 2nd or third yet. LOL.

They actually made her more (physically) feminine as each game went on.

As for not shedding a tear...yeah. Presumably Shepard has been through a lot, and she decided to stay in the service. That means she can handle the death. Some men can't. Some women can.

To make such a statement is to completely ignore the fact that war can have an effect on EVERYONE.
