Future US announced earlier this year it would also be closing Nintendo Power.

You missed the end of the article -

"The sole lifetime subscriber to the magazine, a Mr. Flores, will be fully refunded."

So I guess Xbox the magazine is next, I believe it's pugged by the same group. Strange times.

I'm surprised you don't know this. The magazine is the part of the gun that holds the cartridges. Apparently these guys have been writing some kind of blog on them and trying to sell them. Sounds illegal.

Although I don't like seeing any video game-related companies shutting down (except Zynga), these "Official" magazines have always been pretty bad.

I officially hate Future. This is the 3rd magazine to which I subscribe that they have cancelled this fall. :'-(

I assume Nintendo Power was one of them. What was the other?

NGamer was actually my favorite video game magazine. The writing was really witty and fresh.

Nintendo Power, NGamer, & Playstation.

I just re-subbed to PC Gamer. Hopefully that doesn't get shut down, too.

For me it is kind of a bummer as I read the magazine. Most magazines I subscribe to, but for some reason I just purchased this one at the store.

I preferred PSM back in the 90's. I did buy the official PS magazine for the demo discs sometimes. (back in the 90's) I still re read those old magazines from time to time to help me remember when life was good.
