Not buying IS your option. It's up to the manufacturer to decide how to market products.
If it was you selling the headsets, you might decide that YOU know what's best.
Just like they did.

Amen! I stopped looking at Best Buy because you have to "check out" to see the price. If a manufacturer wants to sell me an item, show me the price don't play stupid games! I will find a price somewhere else and buy it there.

It's not all about you. The maker of the item might not like to see their prices drop below 1 penny where Google can see the price and grab it for comparison purposes. They are not STOPPING amazon from selling it, just asking them not to write about it where Google robots can find the 1 penny price.

I am not just a consumer. I sell stuff. That's why I'm weird.

I hate it too, like everyone here. But to all here and those who will be in the future... here's the deal, bottom-line... given this scenario that Amazon would bend to such a manufacturer's policy makes it obvious that this must be working. In other words, while a certain percentage gets upset about the process (myself included), there must be a large enough percentage that GO AHEAD AND PURCHASE once the item is in their cart. Hence, the manufacturer and retailers like Amazon don't care about the few (that's us), they care about the overall picture and remember - they are not here for our entertainment; they are here to move merchandise, they are a business.

People like us will always be susceptible to the stupidity of the masses.

Get a ROKU box, it's cheaper!

I think in general, most people need an education in free market and why it is efficient. Price is not always the only issue, but for most things you can buy on Amazon it is.. but I generally do not buy things other than Amazon Prime.. or distributed by Amazon.. I almost always get burned. I have however started noticing an increase in pricing.. it's not now always cheaper or more efficient to buy on Amazon anymore. I agree w Mark, but sooner or later the free market rights itself.
